Sterling Silver is tied at the same Mohs hardness as aluminum (2.5-3.0). Whether using a HSS or carbide endmill for your finishing pass, figure out your SFM (Surface Feet/Minute) which will determine an ideal spindle RPM as well. Hopefully give you a smoother surface finish.

Did anyone ever think of fitting a spring drive movement in different case

I want to beg a question of you. There may not be an easy amswer. I have two Seiko 7002 dive watches that I bought cheaply via India. They each worked 3 or 4 months and quit. My question is if a NH36 movement will fit. I also have several SKX-007s of which at least one will get an NH36 thanks to you. Surely there is technical data somewhere. What do you think?
