Storyline for those who are confused: 1) Prince of Wales is boinking older-ish married woman next to Rose, 2) creepy guy no one wants to be with grabs scandal-filled letter from that woman's purse, 3) Rose realizes that letter is missing and needs to get it back to save the Prince of Wales from scandal, 4) Robert and Bates get involved, 5) Rose comes up with a ruse where they sneak into creepy guy's apartment to get the letter but are unsuccessful, 5) Bates saves the day by getting the letter through a much more clever plot. I hope this is a nice summary!

This may be a late reply, but this would be Queen Elizabeth's uncle David, her father's older brother. He abdicated after he refused to have a morganatic marriage with Wallace Simpson and was confirmed to be a Nazi sympathizer. He and Hitler were close friends.

@@loliver9660 well actually that's not quiet true about "refused to have a morgantic marriage with Wallace". It just the Parliament gave him the choice of a)marrying Wallace but they (Parliament) would resign or 2)give up Wallace
