I knew that I would enjoy this video even before seeing it as I do every video that you upload. I am happy to hear that your Mom is doing better. Praise the Lord. Our garden got scorched this year. We are in southern AZ now. I'm still adjusting to the heat and watering and planting times. We had volunteer tomato plants, basil, and mint. I tried planting sunflowers but the cats thought the plant pots were theirs to use as a toilet. Then, we had a dusty D go through and it tore open our shed and flattened our plants. It even threw a huge trampoline into a power line in town, and set someones house on fire. I am going to try that cold Amish soup, God willing. I eat something similar, with frozen blueberries, smashed banana, and granola in almond milk. I think yours sounds just as yummy.

Wonderful video! So happy to see your Mom is doing a bit better. My Mom has also had a very difficult past couple years (and is 83). I am in Alaska and she is on the East coast. All the restrictions have kept us apart for over a year. I am really praying that the Lord will open the door for me to get back there this summer to spend some time with her. At least she is also doing much better recently. I pray God will continue to bless your family and to use your videos to share His goodness to us. Bless you all!

I just found your channel, Joas I know your Dad an Mom an your older sibblings...I was in the same class with your sister Arlene, I remember when your brother Vernon lost his life....so sad the ambulance drove passed our house on their way to that accident, an I also remember when your family made the move out west....it's hard to imagine an see your parents are in their upper 80s....enjoy watching your videos an love seeing the beautiful scenery!!!!!! It is nice to see your family having a nice Saturday together. Quite a nice blueberry patch. Nice things to be made out of them for sure. Always a lot to be done on a homestead. You are teaching your children the value of work. It almost seems to be a lost art today in raising children. They are not even taught to cook and clean. Hi Joas, we love you too Priscilla, when I was a child we used to have bread in hot milk with sugar for breakfast, we called it "Pobs" I think your garden is beautiful just like your family, sorry to hear about your mamma's fall Joas it's lovely to hear she's getting over it, I didn't know you had an horse, I love horses, I love all animals but horses are my fave, Priscilla you always have a full table of home made food it's lovely to see and nowadays there are quite a few that cannot cook, I had to do it when I was younger at home so I know my way around a kitchen and I enjoy it too, hey Joas next time you make coffee I take honey in it please, lol, anyhow enjoy your little family time, God Bless you all and thank you for sharing your time with us, hugs from UK.

We’re so glad to see your parents loving on their grandchildren. I’m sure it meant a lot to y’all to have them able to get out to visit you in your beautiful home! I think your soup recipe sounds good! My grandmother taught us to love what she called Sweetmilk Toast. She would warm milk in a pan, then tear up pieces of buttered toast into the warm milk and add salt and pepper to taste. Brought it just close to a boil. The big pieces of toast were like dumplings. Oh, so good for breakfast especially on a cold winter morning ❤️
