What I like about you two is the gratitude you show to one another, to your audience, to the Amish who raised you and were raised with you. Your genuine desire to share with others is wonderful - I look forward to learning more about the Amish of which we have a few ( I live in Maine) and I agree with your philosophy that people are all the same no matter what the external differences are. The cabin looked so cute

I grew up in a Mennonite home in Lancaster Co. We had Amish neighbors for 5 years in Christanna Pa played with them and worked along side them when we were not in school. We moved to Mountville Pa when I was in 3rd grade! Now 5 decades later I have been driving Amish & Mennonites to their work shop in Manheim Pa! You guys inspire me when I see your changes you have made! Like the Construction / Roofing that I drive for, they have lots of new ways, trucks , vans, trailers, all the lifts, heavy equipment to do all barn repairs or replacements! Their shop is fully stocked with electric, computers ,office equipment like any other business! Including a Safety guy and commitee! They just do not drive , hiring workers to do that for them! Love your honesty, and strenght to help us see what Amish life is like! What inspired you to do U tube videos? I enjoy it so much! !

I’ve just stumbled across your channel and watched this video with my 35 year old daughter who is planning her own wedding. Thank you for taking the time to share with us.

I am just new to your channel and I find it so wonderful. I love your genuine ways and you are both so wonderful of souls. You remind me of how I grew up in So Dak. Not Amish or Mennonite but in a very structured family and faith. Life was hard work and appreciation and all the family helped with all things. Just listening to you both is very relaxing and like I am back home again where the people are /were so wonderfully geared toward love and goodness. I miss that in this world of today. I miss ladies being ladies and gentlemen being gentlemen. You both are wonderful examples of that! Blessings

It's so nice to hear of the good things you brought away from your childhood. There are so many horror stories about the Amish. I know there are the terrible things, but not all Amish are like that. I grew up German Baptist and my best friend had been Amish. Her parents left the Amish and joined the German Baptist. I loved visiting her family (there were 15 children) and they were very loving and respectful. German Baptist and Mennonite, all churches actually, have bad things happen in them when they focus on religion. I am very thankful for my heritage also! Bless you!

What a beautiful wedding! You still seem to be in love, that's so sweet. Coming from a Conservative Laestadian Lutheran background, there's some similarities in the weddings. We also serve good food, including a proper meal, and the servers get gifts. I have been a server and one of the nicest gifts was beautiful white self-knitted mittens. The longest wedding I have attended lasted almost 9 hours. But our couples usually leave for the honeymoon even before the guests leave and let others do the clean up. :)
