Christmas arrives at the cottage! To pre-empt the 'longer videos please!' comments - I lost two days due to a broken camera this week (turns out you can only drop them so many times before they die) - but thank you to everyone who's bought me a virtual coffee over the last couple of months - I saved up all those coffees and bought a replacement camera so we are back in business! You can find me on instagram instagram.com/rewildingjude/ If you'd like to support this channel (I will try harder to stop knocking my camera over) - you can donate the cost of a coffee, right here: buymeacoffee.com/rewildingjude There will be a patreon in the new year - I'm working on it at the moment! 🎄❄

My son is very unwell and in hospital and I’ve found myself putting the tv on just for some sound as the house is too quiet without him and upsets me even more, so I put on the children’s channel as it always sounds happy. But I haven’t watched the news or ridiculous real life shows for ten years. I have my iPad and choose what I want to sees

@@karenglenn6707 I live alone, I definitely put things on my laptop to keep me company too. Old movies, documentaries, or anything really. I watch a decent amount of youtube. I'm very sorry to hear about your son and hope he's going to be ok.

I haven’t had a TV for 10 years now, and have no intention of ever getting one again. I love my iPad and the internet though. Why have a tv and expensive cable? Especially for a single person.

I am a big reader and audiobook / podcast listener - I can’t concentrate on tv shows - my mind wanders and I get fidgety!

If you put strips of greaseproof paper in your bun tins before you put the pastry in, they act as a handle so they should come out in one piece. Your wreath is beautiful Jude.

2 weeks ago, don't think this a strange question but did you do cowboy boots and pink jacket

At 61, Jude, I envy you. You were so brave to make the leap into the unknown. You will be so happy there, in such a place, how can you fail to be anything but happy?

I swear, every time you go up a ladder, I hold my breath. "If he falls, I couldn't tell 999 where he is. I don't know when he fell? If you fell during filming on a Monday and the film goes out Sund....... phew! He must be OK, he's posted the film!" See! Anxiety! Lovely wreath. Enjoy your week.

I audibly gasped at the beautiful wreath. You just did it so effortlessly ❤️🎄 looks amazing!

Hahaha, it looks like I whipped it up in about half an hour but rest assured it took almost all of Tuesday’s daylight hours 😂😂

Hi Jude! I'm watching your beautiful festive hanging of the lights from a heatwave in Melbourne Australia. I'd rather be there. I once baked caraway seed cake without sugar, it was SO disappointing to look at this lovely cake that tasted like cardboard! No-one can have enough sparkly lights, your cottage will be purring just like Sven, the sweetheart! The wreath is so pretty, I did get teary when you showed us your musical Santa, this is your first year in your cottage and Im sure you are missing your mum and dad, so Im sending you Mum hugs! xx

It’s lovely to see you with Sven. He’s really settled in. And you can’t say…” not my cat” now 😹😹 xx

I'm impressed that Sven has 7 whole brain cells! My cat manages on 2, and I'm pretty sure he shares them with some of the other cats in the neighborhood. Happy to see you're both adjusting well to each other's company 💜

Your ability to laugh at yourself is one of your endearing qualities. If we could all laugh at ourselves when things don't go to plan, maybe life would be less stressful. You did a great job with the lights and the wreath .. and the star! Thank you, Jude, for being you. Have a very Happy Christmas with Sven.

I can tell how much you miss your mother (and father), Jude. I still miss mine too and it had been 15 years she had been gone. It is especially hard for me at Christmas time when looking back at childhood Christmases with my parents and 5 siblings. Those were the happiest days of our lives! Your crafts are beautiful!
