Given that impressioning can be difficult, and laminated and most solid-body padlocks can’t be disassembled nondestructively, I feel that Lishi tools for Master products certainly earn their keep!

I have a question: I have three master locks. I used the 2 in 1 m1/ms2. it opened all of them once, but when I tried the second time, it just doesn't seem work in none of them. any clue why is this happening?
@scotthutchinson64772 ай бұрын
From my experience it's too much tension or too little tension. There's times I can open them up in a matter of 45 seconds. Other times I can't get into them at all so it boils down to getting that right amount of tension to picking I'm a beginner so I still have tons to learn.

When I got the Lishi for M1/M2 locks, there seemed to be absolutely no repeatable pattern for opening a Master Lock 3, other than putting immense pressure on the tension arm. Sometimes, on 1 of my ML3's, I just had to pick 1 and 3 to get the open, other times it would open when I picked 1, 3 and 4, and the feedback is non existant. On a different ML3 I have to pick all 4 pins, but in different orders. 😂😂🤣 Master Lock, ya gotta love 'em.

I just rec'd this Lishi tool (from the backorder shipment that just came in recently) and I also have the SAME PROBLEMS with it. I was quite shocked to have the same results, in that it had trouble opening several Master 4 pin padlocks that are just so easy to pick. I was wondering if mine was damaged or manufactured incorrectly in some way. My picking tip is also somewhat curved and tends to stick or hang up near the bottom of chamber # 3 if you just operate it free hand, (i.e., without it even being in a keyway). Wonder if these are a bad lot? I'm quite displeased with it -- now interesting to know someone else has same problems...

I feel like a few others including yourself and myself have had issues with the picking aspect. It is a strange finding. I am happy enough because I got the decoding to work. But it is strange because it works perfect on my Brinks lock.

The thing with the Lishi tool is that you need to make sure that it not just for the brand of lock but also for the key way of the lock. For example the BE2-6 is only for Best lock with an “A” keyway. It won’t work on any other key way. Do your homework before ordering a Lishi tool.

@@darylbuckner5596 oh I don't remember now, it was too long ago. I wound up returning it I think. They fit very specific keyways. Seems like the kind of thing that would be really cool but would have limited use unless you could buy a bunch of them. Which for me is both cost and space prohibitive.

My friend bought a used chev, and the ignition switch was replaced. He has an ignition key, but no keys for the doors, so he cannot lock it. Can I use my lishi MIT8 to decode his door locks and order a key?

I know you can change it but isn't the tensioner usually on the other side of the lishis? Sometimes I think the epgs have to much power. If it won't open sometimes I can get it open with my Manuel pick gun and it will open lol it's not a cheap Chinese one it's a good one where the pick moves straight up and down with no curve! When I bought my epg I asked them why they had a less powerful gun at same price and I was told mostly everyone buys the more power full one cause it's the same price! I sometimes wish I would of bought the less powerful model

I opened all those locks before I filmed it but of course being live it didn't cooperate LOL. Also my tension was clockwise and you can rotate the handle to the other side if you just undo a screw and flip it over. I didn't want my hand in the way

Unfortunately you have bad form, on both tools. I’ve made more money than I can count with both the Kronos and the MS1 decoder. If you can save someone a padlock by being able to make them a new key without impressioning, stupidly enough, they’ll love you forever and send you more and more business.

@@GxAxV How come? I have never used an electric pick gun like that before, would you elaborate please?
@GxAxV4 жыл бұрын
@@roysammons2445 sure thing. I use the Kronos daily for work. On most electric pick guns (not the dyno) there is a right and wrong way up to inset it. The motor flicks the needle that is sprung in one direction already. Effectively if used the wrong way then you are holding the needle away from the motor. The correct way with the Kronos would be with that thumb screw on the opposite site to the pins.

My M1/MS2 picks well but that's all it can do. The Lishi pin chart isn't accurate so the cut numbers I gave my locksmith weren't correct. I wasted my money on this 'quality' tool that can't even decode a cheap 4 pin padlock. You notice he didn't cut a key using the numbers he read on the Lishi. Actions speak louder than words..
@KBCast3 жыл бұрын
I'm very confused how you are having so much trouble picking using the Lishi tool. I can pick so much faster with those. Single pin picking or zipping is much less effective for me personally. Not sure about the vibrator thing you used lol

Don't waste anymore money on those Kronos tools. You can get the same thing or modify it even better, by making your own from an oral b toothbrush. And if you keep the toothbrush part to slip back over the pick it appears to be a normal toothbrush, not a questionable lock opening device, when someone finds it in your pocket.
