Did you notice that both men lived Real Fast and Reckless in some ways...Jimmy and his gang pulling that risky hit job stunt with the Colombian cartel in the hotel and Dennis (Caruso) driving through incoming traffic on the wrong side of the road in Times Square with his partner Snipes, their captain, and Frank in the back seat!! Like two sides of the same coin...

My favorite movie of all time , best villian , best side villain , coolest most badass cops , badass femeles all in one film & best car chase scene of all time hands down 👌 its like a 90's matrix car chase & the cast got everyone in the film famous other than Christopher Walken , u got the best supporting cast of all time & i mean like everyone in this film evern tbe girls & cops are some real thugs 💯 this is like New Jack City , Death Wish , Goodfellas, Hard Boiled , The Godfather, Boyz N The Hood , Menace 2 Society , Scarface , CSI , The Matrix , The Wire & Batman & a horror movie all in one film & it's still manages to stay unique & i love that 90% of the movie takes place at nighttime & the sound track is so unique & amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a reunion for Laurence Fishburne, Giancarlo Esposito, Roger Guenveur Smith and Leonard Lee, as they were in Spike Lee’s “School Daze” 2 years earlier. Remember this movie coming out in ‘90, around the same time as “Goodfellas” and “State of Grace.” It was definitely shot in NYC (mainly Queens & Brooklyn).

It's interesting to reflect on how so many of these... Punch-line actors, e.g. Christopher Walken, Nicolas Cage, Wilhem Dafoe, etc. etc. Actually do have chops, and are more than just what they are most notorious for. Im looking forward to Walken as the Emperor in the 2nd Dune movie.

The best film with a great cast and an amazing director. So many classic moments. Grimy as heck. Also has Harold Perrineau (Michael from Lost) in a very early role (not the young kid on the subway, he was one of the shooters on Emilio Zappa in the phone booth). This is also a really great Caruso performance, not just phoning it in like he did for CSI. If you have not done Copland this is as underrated and as brilliant - James (Logan) Mangold with Stallone in an acting role giving the performance of his life alongside Ray Liotta, Robert de Nero, Harvey Kietel, Robert Patrick (T2) and John Spencer (The West Wing).

My manz misread the scene with Fishburne in the chicken spot. The cook server behind the counter was being a dick to those kids yelling at them talking shit about how they don’t have any money. Fishburne’s character may be a murderer, he may be a drug dealer but he’s still got decency and integrity. He gives the kids coins to play the arcade games after scolding the crappy dude behind the counter for being disrespectful to those kids and their grandmother and apologizing to the grandmother gives her some Money to get them whatever they want. This was a pivotal scene to reflect how actual drug dealers in black neighborhoods actually treated people. The drug dealers in my neighborhood growing up in those times, never talked to me tough, or pressured me, or exploited me. They were men. They bought us ice cream on hot summer days, fireworks on the 4th of July and told us to stay in school and out of trouble.

This is a thugsta movie not a gangsta movie so get it right!!!! These guys only come out at night wether its the criminals or the cops !!!! Its a midnight horror crime film!!!! The best part of this film is the no stop action sequences one after another without slowing down at all which has never been done before or since!!!! U got the drug deal sequence of the Undercover cop going directly into the Club shootout sequence which then leads into the craziest car chase shootout sequence ever which then leads directly into the on-foot chase sequence after that to try & catch one of the main criminals in the film which then directly leads into the best acted death scene in any film ever ....just to then have the whole scene end & then go directly into the iconic funeral scene with one of the most cold blooded death scenes ever put on film!!!! Save to say that once this film actually gets going & gets to the middle of the film it doesn't slow down after that at all whatsoever up until the very ending scene of the entire movie ❤ I honestly find New Jack City have more flushed out characters but the film itself ain't nearly as good as this & neither is that action scenes not even close!!! NJC feels sloppy Ill watch it but think it wasn't filmed all that well tbh & the characters are more flushed out & still ain't as memorable either as they are in KONY💯
