You're following in the footsteps of wild camping royalty. Glad you didn't reveal the secret location, that spot is reserved for the camping elite. 👑

Reserved for the elite? Not sure what I was dong there then. 😆

Nice one! Been too long since my last camp, in fact it was up there back on bonfire night. I really do need to get out on a camp. That tent reminds me of my Panacea. Thanks again for the sub. ATB.
@trickofthetrail10 ай бұрын
Yeah, it looks like the SG shares some similarities with the Panacea. I've not seen one in person, but it looks like a great tent. Sorry to hear you and your wife have been struggling with your health mate. Hope you're both doing better now and you manage to get out on a camp soon.

Hey Mark, great to see you at the secret spot, really enjoyed watching mate. That hot toddy looked nice, shame the weather was pants but I'm sure u have fond memories. By the way that lense cap I lost it last camp... Searched everywhere for it... Can't wait to camp again now after watching your vid. 🏕️👍

Hey Mick. Is a lovely little spot and felt very privileged to sign the book. The weather was pants, but didn't matter, is all part of the adventure. Ah it's your lens cap. Well, at least you know where it is now. 😆 Hope you managed to get out this weekend mate. See you soon.

I love this video straight away ❤❤❤❤ great tent, always love to see you camp in that tank! Was so good to see you up there Mark. Hopefully if there’s a next time you’ll get better weather cos it can sure get bleak up ont’ moors…can’t always choose the weather on those free days. Pasta and a hot toddie will keep you alright. I reckon another bird has come a cropper up there cos I was there weeks ago! Good effort on travelling too. It only takes me 15 minutes to drive there so it’s a stones throw for a camp really…I feel very lucky, look forward to reading your entry. See you on the next camp ⛺️ ✨ATB, Sarah

Hey Sarah, glad you liked the video. It's a cracking little spot and I felt honored to sign the book and read all the comments. It was probably the same bird, I did that camp weeks ago. It takes me ages to put a video together and I have a right back log. 😂 You are so lucky to live close to the Peaks. I'm hoping to move somewhere near in a few years. My daughter will get to the point where she's off with her friends and doesn't want to hang out with her old man. I'm already cringe apparently. 🙈 Would be great if we can get a few of us regular Peak District Wild Campers/KZbinrs together for a hike and maybe even a wild camp in the future. It's something myself and Twiggy have discussed before, so if you're interested, let us know. Could be great fun.

Great video Mark, I was pleased to see there were no annoying wild campers in nearby tents shouting rubbish in your direction! ATB Mark.
@trickofthetrail10 ай бұрын
Thanks Mark. Yes indeed, so much more peaceful without a certain idiot there to annoy me. 😂

Great video as always. Nice little secret location! Might try to find it one day. Shame about the weather for you, have the same issues with getting anywhere!
@trickofthetrail10 ай бұрын
Thanks matie. Yeah it's a nice little spot that. Perfect if you don't want much of a hike to the location. Flipping weather is just pants at the moment. Roll on them warmer months hey?! We all need some sunshine!

Really good video Mark.like you I have both pair of vivobarefoot boots.sports pursuit did a good sale on them.really appreciate yourself and others that get out there in winter.at 67 and a few medical issues I base camp and then spend all day hiking so thanks for the inspiration mate.

Ah thanks so much Gary. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and it's so amazing to hear that in some small way I inspire. Makes doing this KZbin thing all worth while. Yeah Sport Pursuit are great for doing some deals on the Vivos. I love them, but they are mighty expensive at full price. I can't see me changing to another make, unless I have too for some reason. Take care of yourself mate and thanks so much for watching and commenting. 👍

Quick cook pasta tales 4 mins, defo take that. I went to the Peak District for a first camp last week, wheel stones, then an idyllic spot on the Derwent by the river..... maybe my secret place (no phone signal which made it extra special, kinda old school camping)

Ps. Like the music, shame about the weather again!

Hey Lesley. Yeah I thought I'd look up quick cook pasta after I made the comment about it. No idea why I didn't think of it before. I will defo take it next time. I saw you Insta pics at The Wheel Stones (a.k.a The Coach and Horses). I love that spot so much. I frequent there at least a two or three times a year. Sounds like you found a lovely spot down by river, it is nice not to have signal from time to time. Totally gets you away from any distractions and just enjoying the camp.
@trickofthetrail10 ай бұрын
Ah awesome, glad you like it. I have it most days for lunch, so convenient and nice to know it's full of nutrients.

Hey! I was fortunate enough to have my first camp there last night :) .... i couldn't find the log book among the stones? do you know if it's still there? great video btw :)
@trickofthetrail16 күн бұрын
Hey. No sorry I'm not sure. I'll have to ask my mate Twiggy who put it here. I know he mentioned that he might need to replace it, but I'd be surprised if he removed it. Hope you enjoyed the camp though. It's a lovely little spot. Sorry you couldn't find the book.
