If you ever plan a trip like this again. Look into the airbnbs that are right on the beach in the town of Watsonville. It’s literally the town that’s in the middle of both Monterey and Santa Cruz.

Aptos area is also really nice. I'd recommend seascape, la selva, there's a nice KOA on San Andreas rd, Rio Del Mar area is great, by the cement ship. Pleasure point has great beaches as well. ! There are so many better beaches in Santa Cruz than the one by the boardwalk. It's dirty and sketchy. LMK if you need more recommendations.

a small tip to keep a house with no ac cool make sure to close the windows to keep the humidity out and close the curtains to keep the heat from the sun out, any way love your videos.

Open at night once the breeze starts to cool down then close them back up first thing in the morning and keep the windows covered then run fans to keep the air circulating it definitely helps when u don’t have AC

As a server I would hate if I got sat with more than 6 people. It’s really really hard. I’ve worked 2 full time jobs before and serving is so much harder on your body and mind. Most parties don’t tip well. People forget that servers don’t get paid hourly.

The fish is living its best life? Not at all. Hes in a cage and not the ocean. The ocean to him is like the entire world you travel in and he cant. Its like putting you in prison and you cant go travel like you love to do. I dont go to those type of places. I go to sanctuary that rescue animals from captivity and give them the best life they can have thats closest to the wild as possible since they cant be rereleased.

I really hope that y’all try to make reservations when going out to eat, even if it’s just your fam. Anything above 6 has an unwritten rule in the service industry to make reservations or be EXTREMELY aware of how annoying and difficult accommodating large parties on a whim can be.

I know this is old but we lived in the area almost 10 years. For better places to stay my suggestion would be to look into the short term rental or Airbnb options in Pacific Grove (PG) or Carmel, or Pebble Beach (sugar sand!) if you can afford it. Homes along the beach, breathtaking ocean views in the front yard. PG and Carmel get foggy and cool depending on time of year but is right at the aquarium's door. Alternately Carmel Valley is gorgeous for mountain and valley views and clear warm weather most of the year. xo

My husband and kids and I love Monterey! We go there all the time. The beach you were is my absolute favorite. I sit on the rocks there and feel like my late grandma is sitting next to me like we used to ❤️ I’m about 3 hours away and go for the day as often as possible. You should try to eat at Fish Hopper and Bubba gumps. I hope kyson is ok, I know that has to be painful that is. Sending hugs.
