Season 33 has been great and I love how experimental they've been with it. They opened with a full blown musical, had a ToH with five parts, a status quo change with Moe (and it looks like they'll have one for Smithers), and this awesome two-partner.

I loved the Fargo series and I was super excited for this episode. It was done Extremely well. I was surprised by the amount of blood, but boy did it take you away from the other Simpsons episodes for a bit. The writers of this episode have to keep doing what they did

Two things: 1. I'm literally obsessed with this special. My favorite Simpsons episodes nowadays are the non canon ones where they can experiment and do whatever they want, and this is a perfect example. The character work, the different style, the way they go darker...beautiful 2. Umbrella Academy is one of my favorite series so seeing one of my favorite KZbinrs mention it was awesome

I am so glad that Lydia mentioned Breaking Bad in this review along with The Simpsons it is my favorite show of all time and my mother knows that I'm obsessed with it and when I first watched this two-parter for the first time she thought with her heart of hearts that it was a Breaking Bad omage. And I can't agree with you enough The Simpsons needs to do a full-on episode or multi episode Breaking Bad parody Edit or Better call Saul parody

Simpsons never really resorted to graphic violence outside of Treehouse of Horror. This was a welcome direction for them to try if only for an episode. The high rating on IMDB is well-deserved.

I did enjoy this ep and hope they experiment with this style in following seasons, like once in a year, kinda like when South Park made mini arcs on a singular story once a season. They made them feel much more than they actually are

After hearing your review of this episode I think I will check it out and I agree with your point if your no longer concern on continuity, like there real ever was, then I think that the new season should consist of genre bending episodes such as this one, now not saying they need to do all 24 episodes in this format but at least 3 or 4 a season so at the very least 2, 2 parters.

Lately they have had so manny characters tied to chairs ( in a few episodes.) it is pretty creepy. ( and im creeped out by the word “abduct” ) But good its still comedy and not always cannon . (i thanked some of the staff and cast for making the episode!)a fiend also said the same thing! “Flanders has a type lol”
