A tiny drop of oil will stop the squeaking. I spayed mine with WD40 Dry Lube from Walmart in tools or auto. Works great.

Hi Laura, thanks so much for watching - and you have come to the right place - the foot corrector - to address your arches. I struggle to lift my left arch as well. Keep consistent with your foot exercises and you'll be amazed by the results. The feet really can get more talented and the foot corrector points up lots of body connections that help out our feet. With consistency you'll see progress - thee things do take time, but good for you for starting your practice. Love to you from San Diego :) xox

Thank you for that demonstration. Very helpful. Question: I have lost the padding on the balls of my right foot because I broke my toes and they no longer flex from both toe joints. Would the foot correct help regenerate that padding on the balls of my foot? Will it help w toe flexion? Please advise when able. Many thx!

Hi there - thank you so much for watching and sharing your question here - such a good question. I find that the Foot Corrector can help with alleviating any undue strain or force put on the feet - by allowing you to use your center and muscles of the trunk to make you literally "lighter on your feet." The springs on the Foot Corrector are strong and encourage you to lift up away from it with your body. I have used it to correct my feet which struggle to have an arch. It really did help bring awareness and create strength in the arches of my feet. I suspect it can help with any kind of foot ailments. The movements you'll do on the Foot Corrector would be great to increase the mobility in your toes and feet. Time and frequent use IMO would be beneficial. Whether the padding would regenerate I can't say with certainty, but it would definitely condition the bottoms of your feet and find them some other muscles in your body for support. I hope this helps to answer your questions. xox

@@PilatesAndrea Thank you so very much, Andrea! That’s very encouraging and might have just provided the swing vote to purchase my corrector. It can’t hurt that’s for sure, even if it doesn’t remedy my current condition. Thx again for your response and very informative video. Cheers!

I have really high and deep arches - my wet footprint looks like a cartoon footprint where the ball area and heel are connected by a very thin line. During exercise #3 & #4, such a small area is in contact with the pedal. Is that how it should be done? Arch lifted, with just the outside of the foot in contact? Thanks.

Hi there - thanks so much for watching and joining the conversation here :) Sounds like you have the opposite kind of feet that I have - my arches like to fall mostly, but we both can get great results from the Foot Corrector! For the massage and the arch ones just use the heavy spring feel to lift your body and center up and away from the Foot Corrector. I think the actual amount of the foot that has contact with the corrector varies from person to person. And not absolutely all of my foot is in contact with the corrector at all times either. Do the exercises repeatedly for a while and see if anything changes with regard to the amount of contact. I hope this helps to answer your question. If you'd like more specific feedback or guidance for your particular situation, let me know and we can schedule an online lesson and take a look :) Again thank you so much for watching! I hope you'll subscribe and tell all your friends! xox

Hi I’m just wondering how the foot correct can help with my Compression fractured metatarsal‘s? Both of my feet had metatarsal compression fracture‘s at different times so one foot has been three months the other foots been a year but since my right foot which has been three months was fractured compression I’ve been putting more weight on the first fractured left foot so now that foots bothering me.

Hi LaRae :) Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your questions here. Since you have/had a compression fracture and one one foot pretty recently, the Foot Corrector may be too aggressive at first while you are still healing. It will be great for later on though... There are some other foot exercises you could do that are more gentle to promote movement and full range of motion before you start working with the Foot Corrector. See what you think. Here is another video with lots of different exercises you can do for your feet: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z32sg5d8jq6aeqs In this video I first I do some Toe exercises but after that there are more exercises for the whole foot. You could do the toe ones too with a thick rubber band like the ones that come on broccoli in the supermarket LOL xox Let me know how it goes :)

So what muscles should I try to use? I feel like I’m flexing my calf muscles to press down the springs. Is this wrong?
@PilatesAndrea

Hi there - Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your foot corrector question here. I find that at first the exercises with the foot corrector can feel very UNlike all the other Pilates exercises. So for a while just enjoy the foot "massage" and use it for a few minutes frequently. As you work, notice that the spring here is very heavy. Let this encourage you to use your muscles to lift up your body away from where your feet stand on the floor and the foot corrector. As you engage all the muscles of your stomach and lift yourself up on the inside, you'll be able to feel like your whole body can move your foot and therefore the spring, even a little bit. If you are unsure how to find lift in your body, lift up your arms towar the sky or put your hands behind your head to help lift the trunk. If your calves are feeling a lot of work, they may be getting some stretch if they are tight, or they may be trying to do the whole exercise. This is not wrong, and as long as if doesnt cause you discomfort, over time you'll be able to spread out the work of the exercises to use your whole body. I hope this helps. The more you repeat the exercises over time will teach you a lot about them. Thank you again for watching and more foot corrector videos coming your way. Keep up the good work! xo

how can u source the pilates foot corretor
@PilatesAndrea
@PilatesAndrea 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Srinath - My foot corrector is from Gratz Pilates - you can find it here: www.pilates-gratz.com/products/foot-corrector Many Pilates manufacturers make a foot corrector but I like the strong spring of the Gratz one that I have. It is an amazing tool to have for yourself!! Thank you so much for watching and connecting with us here :) xo

Is this beneficial for those with flat feet?
@PilatesAndrea
@PilatesAndrea 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there - thank you so much for watching and for sharing your question here. The answer is a resounding YES!!!! I use the foot corrector - and one of my feet has a very droopy arch - after regular use of the foot corrector I was literally walking around one day and I felt an arch in my foot that doesn't really have one - so if you have flat feet you can get tons of benefit from the foot corrector exercises. Do 5-10 minutes of your exercises daily for 2 weeks or a month and see what you think. Frequency is better than duration with these exercises - so even if you do just a couple exercises every day you will feel the benefits. Let me know how it goes :) All best to you and your feet! xox

does it correct the way you walk?
@PilatesAndrea
@PilatesAndrea 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there - thanks so much for watching and for sharing your question here. The short answer to your question is Yes. Regular use of the Foot Corrector has helped me to create an arch in my one foot that likes to roll inwards, but even more importantly, the way you use the rest of your body to lift up and away from the heavy Foot Corrector spring is extremely valuable for your feet, and all of your leg joints. The Foot Corrector is literally training you to be light on your feet. And as such it can create changes in the way you walk. There are ways to use the Foot Corrector that can mimic gait as well. I hope this helps to answer your question. Thanks again for watching xo

@@PilatesAndrea how about duck feet?
@PilatesAndrea
@PilatesAndrea 3 жыл бұрын
Hi - yes, duck feet results in a misalignment of the hip, knee, ankle and foot. The arch of the foot also collapses as the foot turns out. So all of these conditions can benefit from using the Foot Corrector :) It is well named.

How different is it from the foot stepper?
@PilatesAndrea
@PilatesAndrea 3 жыл бұрын
I am not familiar with the foot stepper so I couldn't say... but a google search showed me a little bit about what you are talking about. Looks like a foot steppers is a weight loss/cardio device (please correct me if I am wrong). The Pilates foot corrector is not a cardio device - it is literally correcting your feet and arches and improving your posture and core strength. Thanks so much for your questions and I hope this helps to answer your question. :)

@@PilatesAndrea thanks Andrea for answering all my questions, I appreciate it! I tried looking for Foot Corrector in Amazon and couldn't find it, where can I buy it? Do you have a link?
@PilatesAndrea
@PilatesAndrea 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alfred :) Of course - the Foot Corrector I have is made by Gratz Industries. www.pilates-gratz.com/products/foot-corrector I also recommend Pilates Lineage - they make the identical product as well. pilateslineage.com/products/foot-corrector Other companies make this apparatus too, but you want to make sure the spring is not too light. The Gratz Foot Corrector spring is quite heavy as are the ones made by Pilates Lineage. How exciting! I wish you well on your Pilates Foot Corrector journey. And if you want some expert guidance you know where to find me! Thanks again for watching, subscribing and chatting here in the comments. xox
