My thoughts exactly. If he would have said roller delayed maybe the $1,400 -$1,500 price would hold water in the US market. There are many blowback pdws that sell between $500 and $700 that are based on the AR-15 platform. The Extar EP9 sells for under $500 .

It is! No doubt! They basically said - let's rip off EVERYONE who ever did anything successful. Legit, there is virtually NOTHING original about his whole gun. HOWEVER, they found the winning combo. Metallic cartridge, automatic cycling, delayed blow back (not this particular weapon, I know)..... once those "wheels" got invented, there really wasn't anywhere to go until we see handguns using magnetic energy or compressed air. CZ Scorpion mags are the way to go. They're cheap and they work well. As far as gas system roller delayed or short stroke gas piston are both great. Anything but straight blowback.

Roller-delayed, Scorpion mags, AR controls, Side-charging handle. At or under $1K. Stribog SP9A3 with a Scorpion/AR lower fits the bill. But the B&T USW-G is pretty attractive too.

I agree, MPX mags are the best PCC mags available. Quit bitching about them being $50. It's like people that won't spend the money on a good barrel or BCG. The mag is one of the most important things to have right in any rifle. However, I would take the MPX's gas piston operation over the MP5 roller delayed blowback.

This is finally being imported into the US as the Global Defense SA-9. It has an MSRP of $799 and my local shop has one for $750. I won’t buy it until I see how it runs and what’s compatible with it though. If it takes AR trigger groups, now you have me interested.

An integrally suppressed (to make the most of the subsonic cartridge) roller delayed 9mm ACR (which has the most efficient ergonomics of any firearm, in my opinion) using CZ Scorpion magazines would be the pinnacle of submachine gun technology, fight me

@@Geddy135 I didn't want my comment to be too long so I didn't clarify this, so you're right, but you can either use subsonic loads or incorporate an "HK SMG" (no, not the MP5, not the UMP, not the MP7, the one simply called "SMG" and "SMG II" that Forgotten Weapons made a video on) gas pressure venting system that allows you to changes velocity of the rounds by turning a switch, allowing you to make supersonic rounds subsonic.

This weapon will be really great for Brazilian market, they are comming here soon. ARs market is really strict here and weapons are way expensive (decent Taurus pistol starting at 1K USD and the simplest SMG are no less than 2.5K USD) if this SMG arrive something around 2K USD will be awesome!

Looks like a sexier and upgraded CZ Scorpion a little bit. That mag release and the AR 15 controls is a great set of features on this gun according to what I like. I'm at the beginning of the video, can't wait to hear the cost. I'm betting $2,500 putting it out of the range of what I'm willing to spend. PCCs are my favorite gun so I might be able to make an exception. $1,400-1,500 MSRP? I could go this route!!!

I made a Franken AR9 with a new frontier armory S-9 lower and a PSA KS47 upper. It uses scorpion mags and uses CMMGs Radial delayed bolt and barrel. Softest shooting PCC I own and I'd say it cost me about $1200 all in.

If the MSRP is $1500, give it a while... about 6 months to a year after release and you will find them at $899 to $999, competing with the CZ Scorpion. Just look at the SAR-9X 9mm (a pistol with 1-17rd and 1-19rd mag, gun holster and mag holster, cleaning kit, mag loader, adjustable back straps and standard flashlight for $435) This pistol is a clone of the Glock 17 with HK VP9 grips and an amazing trigger that feels better than any Glock trigger, I should know... I own one. But since is not one of those I mentioned before plus the huge competition in the market, it goes for that price.
