That is such a beautiful city, I love the style of the buildings. It's so built up already in 1933, and there's so many cars on the road. What a great glimpse into the past.

Lots of great familiar scenes of Chicago and near the tail end of the Capone reign. Looking at the sites near the Chicago art institute and also Grant Park and realizing.I was just standing there a few weeks ago.How strange that is now

Thanks for the time stamps!Fascinating that there was no mention of the upcoming Chicago world's Fair of 1933 and 1934. I actually had an old VHS tape that has vintage 1933 world's Fair films on it. I'll have to dig around and see if I can find it!

Being from Chicagoland I was looking for the buildings that are still around. And there were quite a few. Also we probably have some of those street cars at the Illinois Railroad Museum.

Chicago's buildings, though not as tall as New York's, are every bit as beautiful and impressive. As a former over tbe road trucker, I've been in every major city in the United States. And I can tell you that every city in the US would be lost in New York's skyline, every city except Chicago. Chicago is the only skyline that comes close to Manhattan.

The true second city. LA doesn’t have this sort of urban history.

No sound.😮. To see this from almost 100 years ago is amazing. People used to be so clean! Now cities are littered with trash everywhere.

Chicago is still clean, have you ever been here? That’s typically what most people say when they visit Chicago how clean it is.
