Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery is my happy place. I first went there about 60 years ago on my own as a wee boy. I'm 71 now and live in England, but revisiting is on my bucket list.

Thank you for sharing this with us. It's so great to know that our video brought up such special memories! Walking around the Museum and surrounding areas felt like an oasis in the middle of Glasgow. Such a beautiful area.

5-35 I grew up a few minutes from Kelvingrove Park where this fountain is situated. One summers day splashing about in the fountains water I stood on a large piece of a broken bottle and cut my foot open. A 50 year old memory.

That’s an amazing story. Just read about the storm, those wind speeds must have been crazy to experience. We loved spending time in Glasgow and can’t wait to come back!

We’re coming back in May of next year and planning a whole trip to the Isle of Skye, Fort William, and Inverness! Any other recommendations?

So happy you loved our city. Your photography managed to capture some of the beauty of a city that few outsiders are aware of. Most tourists head for Edinburgh which has it own attractions, the difference is Glasgow is a city for living in, Edinburgh is more geared towards tourist attraction.

When we were first planning our trip, we heard the two compared that way! I think it made it all the more surprising to find such peace and beauty there. We loved it and can’t wait to come back! Thank you for your kind words. :)

:) no real issues, though we didn’t get to chat with many people as much as we wanted to. We definitely had some interesting accent barriers on our second trip to Ireland though!!
