I definitely felt that him calling out to her by her first name as opposed to “Nishimiya” is one of the things that made the original Japanese dub more powerful to me. The emotion kind of hit harder too. But! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the English voice actor did with this role! Definitely a great performance in their end, too.

nah,being half japanese and half black it's the same, i don't get whats with people trying to praise sub so bad. being fluent in both languages i can tell u they're the same, not only the sub one lacked so many parts on the subtitles. the translated subtitles didn't even match in some parts. While the dub one is not perfect but it's close to perfect enough
