worst way top die has to be when spelunkers go down in caves and get stuck in pitch black spaces and cant get out, and i mean they are wedging themselves through a crack hoping that it starts to open up again, but it doesnt. they are just . or when 3 oil workers fixing an underwater pipe got sucked in from a pressure release situation, and they got shot miles into this pipe, that apparently had pockets of air in random spots. so scattered within this pipe they all died drowning trying to get to the next air pocket that would lead them out

If you're talking about what I think you are, the radiation man is actually largely myth. Wendigoon has a great video on it. Yes, the event that lead to it did happen, however, they weren't testing on him, they were trying to save him. He did go through 30 days of hell, and wanted to die at first, but his family encouraged him to persevere so he did so, because there was an, albeit small, chance he'd survive. The biggest piece of misinformation is the picture commonly associated with the event of the dude that looks like he's skinned alive on an operating table, put that image is actually completely unrelated

It's not a myth at all the dude absolutely died that way. The testing part and picture are bogus but that's about it. If you want real nightmare fuel look into Johnathan Lovette or the Jao the Brazilian melting man. They make the radiation dudes death seem peaceful. Radiation is one thing but an unknown likely inhuman cause is another.

The guy was accidentally exposed to a criticality event. The picture you are talking about isn't of him but it is real, it's a burn victim from south America or something. Regardless his story is tame compared to Johnathan Lovette and Joao the Brazilian melting man. There are far worse ways to go than radiation, considering the aforementioned men were subjected to what can only be described as testing by something.

When I was four years old, I used to sprint out of the room in terror anytime Lara went underwater because I was afraid of the drowning animation. I was still better at this game than them. It really is a tough game to adapt to, despite being such a classic.

I worked at an aquarium shop, and you wouldn’t believe how many people think you can clean your tank with Dawn dish soap all because it takes oil off of ducks. Worst part is that it wasn’t detectable in water samples usually. So the water parameters would be perfect and yet they’d come back angrily with bags of dead fish the next day

I love when you guys revisit games that are nostalgic to me. I had Tomb Raider on PS1 as a kid and I don't think I ever got any further than the first cave because I was a stupid baby. Now I'm an adult and I've sunk a ton of time playing through it for real, it's a pretty cool game. Swan diving into the floor and breaking Lara's neck is a cool feature and you can do a cool get up if you hold the walk button while vaulting up a ledge.

The lighting thing is a double edged sword, one one hand the new lighting is a lot more natural and looks better, but on the other hand it's very inconsistent. Some areas are darker on remastered graphics while others are darker on og graphics. For the *most* part it's better on the new graphics, but there are instances where the tone is ruined.

2:42 The "radiated and tortured for 30 days" thing isn't true, they tried everything they could to save the guy and both he and his family wanted the doctors to try everything. He had the first bone marrow transplant and it worked, with his sister donating some of her bone marrow to him. The problem was, he was SO IRRADIATED that it didn't matter, it irradiated the new marrow and fucked it up too. The picture of that horribly disfigured guy in the blue bed covered in blood is a BURN victim. Different guy entirely. They were doing their best to save the irradiated guy, until they saw his intestinal mucus detached from his small intestine. That removes like 90% of body's ability to absord medications. By then he was so far gone it was... what, a day or two until he died.

Best adventure game at the time. Believe or not - there were more janky and clunky to control games back then... once you get a grip on the controls - it become great experience. Those quirks and rules have some sense. Also cool character, nice puzzles and decent difficulty that does not feel unfair.
