I thought this was a new one, it popped up after Sarah’s latest video. I didn’t catch the date until 12:00 in when I was trying to remember why Rodney wasn’t in the video- if he was at the very or something, plus wondering why Camper didn’t like the water again.. I thought he was over that. Who knew that Sarah would be on her own car life adventures eight months later?!? I love that water! What lake is that? Another lovely video! I'm intrigued by the places you visit. And it's sure nice to see Sarah tagged along. A good way to find your way back to the trail head is When you start hiking is to mark certain points. Mark the ground with an X or place some stones on the ground as you go along. Of course there is always that option to carry a can of spray paint 🎨 If you don't see any trail markers my dear ❤💐

I did the same thing in Scotland many yrs ago. I was looking for a ruined castle. I took a left walked about 13 kilometers gave up. I went to Edinburgh decided to try to find the castle on the last day. I took a right and it was about 100 yds down and to the right .🤨😅

As someone whose been privileged to live as a global nomad in many different countries, I have had to work harder in the U.S. to find the same solace living the van life, Nikki has also traveled across the globe extensively, I'm curious as to how she compares the two versions of nomad living, U.S. vs Global nomad lifestyles. I think global travel is very different than "vanlife". Global travel the mind set is vacation, in that you often think when this is done I will get back to my real life. Vanlife is just life. You live your life you just happen to live in a van. Very different mind set

@@leehensley7711 on the contrary, at least for me, while living in many different countries working as an online tutor, I felt more connected to living as locals because so much of my life revolved around my work, because as a digital nomad, regardless if I were in the mall I Prague or at the Apartheid museum in Joburg, South Africa, I would still work on my computer, so it never felt like a vacation. I did stay in most places for months on end though, which is in contrast to typical vacations where you have to go back to work. As a global digital nomad, you don't have to return to work as it's simply your life, hence the reason it never felt like a vacation.

I think it's probably due to my reverence of global travel as the U.S. has innumurable beautiful nature reserves that rival many global places I have had the privilege to visit and live in around the world. But I find myself working harder to appreciate it here, probably how tourists from overseas come to your hometown and are amazed when you've lived there your whole life and it's just normality. I have taken a page from your playbook though as I recently found the most amazing beach in the world Padre Island National seashore, what's kidding is all my life I lived 200 miles away from it and never knew I existed. I traveled the world for a isolated but like it, and now get to enjoy it right up the road. You should go there. Take care and keep making awesome content

Stanley is definitely the best of Idaho, loved that shop when I was there last year it was late October and got quite cool at night but the days were awesome as was the dip in the hot spring. That grocery was not bad for a small town either. I got the last shower at the park, they boarded it up for the winter when I was done. 😊
