Kudos for not playing music during the non-narrative parts.

Dave, I am slow and a little lost. Could you make a video showing how you use that swinging fence? And why you don't need a fence that moves straight back and forth? Thank you, and thank you for your no nonsense videos!

Hey Dave, Some of us have eliminated the height adjustment handle and installed a counter-weight system. No trouble to just release the lock screw, lift or lower the table and re-tighten.

That's an intriguing idea I'll have to look into. Thank you!

I'm very new to woodworking and just got a drill press earlier this week (So I have been watching a lot of DIYs for drill press tables etc). This is an awesome design. What type of situation would pivoting the fence be useful for; why would I want a curved channel in the table? Thanks for the info (^_^)

I only use the fence to maintain a consistent distance between the bit and edge of the piece when drilling multiple holes in line (e.g. shelf pin holes in a cabinet) . Then I only have to worry about spacing in one direction. Because the drill bit operates at one point the fence doesn't have to be parallel to it or the table. The curved channel just accommodates the locking knob and movement of the fence.
