Always great tips. I wasn't going to watch because I already "knew" how to do it. The way that you have shown is so much better. Thank u.

This is a great idea! Fortunately for me the Dream Machine has adjustable stoppers on both ends so I don't have to worry about widths.

Thank you for your tutorials.. Dan Cormier (of Cutting Edge, Canada) has designed an inexpensive SHARK tool that slides across the blades and do this task.I find it very helpful
@SandyHuntress6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for mentioning that, Sarah. I saw the Shark tool demonstrated some time ago (was it on the Dream Machine?) and thought it was only for that particular machine. Is there a tool you can get for any pasta machine
@BelindaPort6 жыл бұрын
Yes, Dan Cormier calls it a SHARK. Absolutely worth it.

That's smart! Several years ago I used some scrap clay to make a short (5 cm, I think that is 2 inch) stopper, I made it round then I squeezed it down between the two rods of the pm with some talc to prevent it to stick, I cutted the round sides and then I cured it. Somehow the edges of the blends came out quite neat. To make my blends less wide i used packages of clay, and/or coins for little adjustments, but having a set like yours would have been more convenient. Maybe if you put a very short piece of stopper made with scrap clay at the beginning of your wooden rods the blends edges would came out neater? And it will mach with the inches you wrote on them too. I know my English is bad, I spent half an hour to wrote this comment lol... And I'm not sure at all that anyone will understand what I meant to say
@SandyHuntress7 жыл бұрын
That's a really good idea, Marina, and your English seems well enough to me. :-) So, you're saying to cover the rough ends of the dowels with scrap clay and bake them so they'll be smoother, brilliant!

Yes! :D That is exactly what I meant, glad you understood! Thank you Sandy!

I love this idea Ms Sandy. What is the chart on the bottom of your pasta machine?
@SandyHuntress7 жыл бұрын
Well spotted, Kandi! That chart is a wonderful little tool that tells me how thick each of my settings is in mm and playing cards. You can learn how to make your own here: www.polymerclaydaily.com/wp-content/uploads/pasta_machine_instr_and_chart.pdf

Keepsake Crafts by Sandy Huntress I was thinking that's what it was, that's why I asked. Was going to ask how I could get one so thank you very much for that link. I really appreciate it and all that you do.

Is this a re-post? I think I've seen this 😉
@SandyHuntress7 жыл бұрын
It's possible that a few people have seen it. I upload my videos to KZbin a couple weeks before I make them public. Even though they are unlisted KZbin sometimes puts them on recommended videos. It's annoying, but if I set them to private that creates other problems. All that to say, yes, you may have seen it before! One thing that will always be new is the blog post with more information. That link is in the cards (click on the upper right of the video) and description box. Happy creating!
