I disagree that you have to have all of your best players on the pitch right from the off, all in one go. Thats stupid. It's a 90 minute game, and especially considering how good all the teams are in the premier league nowadays it is vital that you have a strong bench. Would I like to see Tonali start and play all the time? Absolutely because he's wonderful, but I also have no problem at all with Eddie bedding him back in to premier league intensity slowly and carefully. You can't say because he played two 90 mins in the Nations League that he's ready to play 90 mins in the premier league because it's totally different in terms of physicality and intensity. What if Tonali started against Wolves but was blowing out his arse after 30 mins then was useless to us after that? You HAVE to be careful with these players if they haven't played PREMIER LEAGUE football for 10 months - so no I don't think Eddie got the lineup wrong at all, and no Eddie didn't make three changes at HT because he knew he got it wrong, he made three changes because the players he took off who he knew were capable of performing weren't performing - Joelinton losing his head and walking a tightrope on a yellow etc. The huge positive is that we had a very strong bench which ended up being the difference

I cant believe nobody has even mentioned playing Trippier at LB. Hall was shocking in the last game and I'm not convinced by Kelly. Tino must play, but the leadership and set piece quality of Trips is also a must. Surely, he has to play a LB.

If needs must you play Tino LB. Trippier can do an alright job at LB but at RB he is such a good creative outlet with his ability to spot a through ball between the lines and his deadly assists - thats all gone at LB because he never takes it to the by-line and whips balls in on his left, he always has to cut back in on his right foot which allows the opposition defence to get back and re-organise, he is 20% the player he is at LB. Tripps RB Tino LB would be way better imo. Its the reason why we were so ineffective down our left at the Euros - mainly because Trippier was playing LB

Livramento has played better as a LB than RB and we got Kelly. Trippier can play RB

Murphy is played out of necessity to an extent. But he does show flashes of excellence. I find it very hard to justify Longstaff's inclusion, beyond being defensively deligent if we want to protect a lead. So ponderous and lacking in quality when he has the ball.

We have pointed out Joelinton hasn’t been at his best, and I’ve also pointed out that Bruno has been absent in recent weeks but there’s no way Howe drops him!
