Core Keeper is an early access, survival sandbox game developed by Pugstorm. There were a few blocks around that area you can't get into that said that you needed a better mining tools to mine them. That might be worth a return trip,as I don't know if there just more unbreakable wall behind them or not but it might be worth checking.
