Correspondence is always a good thing. It's what keeps us connected. And we are not connected to this correspondence, we feel disconnected, off balanced and lost. By God's grace and love and light. We can always get back to our Heavenly Father. When we feel and keep in alignment with His love! I can say for myself that I have never known such a love as His. Pain doesn't bend,pain is my friend, gold doesn't melt in the fires of hell only the impurities melt away. Hell is a place of purification to get to heaven. Love this episode. My question is that today's Bible has been rewritten, edited, some parts left out, etc. How do we know that the current Bible, or even which version of the Bible today is truly the language of the correspondences God intended? Does this question make sense?

That's my question, too. The Bible has been translated, re-translated, and mistranslated numerous times, in addition to being subjected to various editorial subtractions and personal interpretations over the centuries. What we have today is not what was initially written.

Just my thoughts on this... The world will always feed the human mind. It gets us all caught up in the matters of the world. This is a huge one, I've pondered over this question also, got caught up in human breadcrumbs, trails. 🫣 Due to copyright, words get changed, yes maybe some parts are kept out. Yet we can still find them, if it's what we seek. Ultimately humans may rearrange or change words in the bible. Can they change the Spiritual text though? What they can't do, is change God. The Spiritual connection will always be in us to find the truth. God can't be wiped away. Anymore than Spiritual truth can. When we focus on human things, human arguments, division, do we miss the essence of truth that will lead us to God. Many rabbit holes for the human mind. The truth will always remain. No matter what we "as humans" think. Will our thoughts change anything, will they put back the words or the missing pieces? Is it Gods Will that this has happened anyway? So we may start to seek the truth. After all, what gets people's attention on the bible can be seen in countless ways. Our ways may not be God's way. Who is the creator? The bible tells us that God is Spirit. God is Perfect Love, casts out all fear. God does all for the good. So I stopped following these questions that really didn't change anything in me and followed questions that will bring me closer to my creator. @cjbaily584 James 1:5 teaches us that we can get from God directly the truth. Through the Holy Ghost we can know the truth of all things. Teachers and preachers can help facilitate that process but ultimately Christ taught all of us that Heavenly Father wants to have direct communication with His children… individually. The main conduit that we receive and understand the truth is either directly from Christ or and through the Holy Ghost. We need that communication (revelation) to understand the scriptures and understand life’s purpose. Fasting and prayer is a great way to speed up that connection between Heavenly Father and His children… us.

Community Guidelines, God loves the message He sent and I believe protects it. We humans are not so powerful as to be able to ruin it. The Bible we are given has been preserved by God. I am a fan of homeopathy which uses remedies from many things, it's main law is like treats like. Very much based on correspondences. Alchemy then is transforming focusing on spiritually and transforming ourselves to become that race of Angels ❤

This guidance through the verses and explanation of correspondences has been helpful. Book religion, though, is quite a step removed from primary spiritual experiences like cosmic consciousness, angelic visitations, and some NDEs which are often so powerful as conductors that they can convert people with little spiritual connection to being filled with longing to know Spirit and wisdom more fully and deeply. And through such experiences, scriptures can become much more meaningful. Swedenborg had such experiences. Unfortunate that such experiences tend to be not easy to attain and seemingly dependent upon serendipities of divine grace.

Yes, creayoga -- experiencing is different from reading. We'll all have the experiencing part eventually, but it's true that for many it won't be until we shed this earthly body!

In the meantime, there can be other not very esoteric ways to encourage such primary experiences to happen, like encouraging to appreciate the great sublime beauties and grandeurs of nature and the arts, dream recall and analysis, dream journaling, meditation methods in moderation, etc. I love scriptures and wisdom literature but like to employ a range of approaches. Into getting sober for me, many years ago, I realized that a little of what is in the universe/The Heavens, is also inside of us. "We are Stardust." So if the universe resides inside of us, and also exists in the heavens, there is a distinct connection between man on earth, and the heavens. We are connected to All That Is, before, during, and the after life. There is a tether that connects us to All That Is, All The Time. When I wake, I recognize that connection and offer gratitude for waking up in the morning. As the universe/The Heavens are, so are we. Always connected, meaning, that the universe, or "The Heavens" is always a step ahead of us, and before we can think it, the universe already knows where we are going to go, what decision we are about to make. The art is in knowing that, and making sure we make those "Right decisions and actions" because the universe, or The Heavens are connected from deep within. And knowing this brings a new clarity to prayer and reverence for God.

I like so much about this show - learning the history of humankind, and about the properties of metals for instance. But what I really appreciate is learning more about the origin and power of the Word. I need help with reading some parts of the Word, and the purpose it provides to Creation for our reading it. Hello Curtis, very interesting. I have heard it said many times, that everything in nature moves in cycles. Did Swedenborg give any type of timetable for when mankind would return to this golden age? I know many people want to believe man is evolving to a better place, part of me want to believe this too. But, I have spent many years studying history and I have my doubts that most people try to learn from past mistakes. Mankind seems to just keep repeating the same old cycles of war and peace. Fallowed by another cycle of ignorance and enlightment. Nothing seems to change all that much? Thank You for a good video.

I don't think Swedenborg gives any kind of timeline for an earthly return to a golden age, but of course in our own individual lives, we can choose to align with those ideas as much as possible, and then transfer to heaven where love and light are directly feeding us. Wonderful presentation, as always. I would love to see a talk about the correspondential meaning of AI. On the one hand, it seems to resonate from the place we don't want; however, it speaks to our wanting to get to that perfect place, being bound only by our thoughts and intentions. You don’t have to be a psychic medium to be connected to God. It’s true that they can relate correspondence from people who have passed to you but if you’re open to hearing goodness and truth that correspondence can come directly to you. I feel things and hear things in my head from my loved ones who have passed. They send me signs using birds and butterflies, special number sequences and music. I feel honored and loved every time it happens. I have been to mediums and they know right away that this happens to me. I know without a doubt that I am connected to God and everything good in the universe

They have a connection with something… and so do we. Our behavior determines what and who that connection is with. Keep God’s commandments as given through Christ and the knowledge of God and the savior will effortlessly distill upon our soul as the dews from heaven until we know the truth of all things. By doing this, in time, our confidence will begin to wax strong in the presence of God and our soul will become perfect as Christ became perfect and we will be like Him and see Him as he really is. Literally we are the children of God. God didn’t call the cows His children. Nor the fish nor anything else on earth did God calls His children He calls us His children. We are His offspring. Through worlds like this is how God raises His kids. Understand who you really are. God is Christ’s father and our father. Christ’s God and our God.

What a lovely way to describe it BK. Yes God speaks to us through those correspondences in nature, the music, and subtle messages. It sounds like you are attuned to them well. Perception is described by Swedenborg as speech with God, and the language includes those experiences you refer to. Just now I had an especially lovely song outside my window from a bird, and I paused to listen. What was she telling me about the joy of trusting God? When a song comes on that has special meaning, I pause to hear what God is reminding me of. You know that all is good in the universe. I am glad you wrote today.

Well, God is the life force within each one of us, badkitty -- so in one way or another, yes! But it seems to me we can't make broadbrush statements about any kind or category of person. I'm sure there are mediums that ARE connected to God, and mediums who AREN'T. But since God IS Goodness, if the mediums are truly interested in helping and caring for other people, there's got to be some God in that!

I have often thought, when you read about Abraham or David being friends of God, not being quite able to understand it because, well, I mean, they weren’t really the best of men, do not read like truly good men. But if they were somehow carriers of a remnant inside of them, a remnant from humanity during the Golden Age “when the inhabitants of heaven dwelt with mortals and kept them company as friend with friend”, then it makes sense - they were, although morally a couple of mixed bags in many ways, really rather outstanding radio receivers, conductors of heaven. They effectively spoke and met with Heaven.

Do you recognize that God's crucifying man on the cross alongside Jesus symbolizing that He (Father God) had deemed Adam's nature, and each of our self natures, worthy only of death?... The implication of which is that only Christ within a person complete His victory through that person... And that the conductivity challenge of being in the iron age requires nothing less than only His actual Faith (Light) to remove the dross with-in the person for the person to end up purified so as to Be in Him as if in the golden age? I believe God is revealing the actual everyday path that we can take to enter into this type of union with &in Christ Jesus, if Curtis would be interested in hearing such... it's nothing new or revolutionary, but is instead quite simple. We believe in the process of "regeneration" (spiritual rebirth) to establish the Lord's goodness and truth within a person so that the person, because yes, the Lord is the one who does it, and we need his connecting power. I want there to be a god. I am not sure there is. I want there to be one for sure. If there is a god, which one is it? I have no idea what I think. I want to know this god if there is one. Can I test out Swedenborg in my own experience? If it can be tested then that is good. I am not sure if there is a god, is it even something that can be done using Swedenborgs writings? Given that he is focused on god not wanting to over rule my free will, if I have to make a choice surely testing is part of that process? What would testing Swedenborg's writings look and be like? What would a testing of Swedenborgs work look and be like in terms of actions?
