Pleased you enjoyed it Andy. I didn't think I would get there this year but one spell of dry, sunny weather and we went. The snowdrops looked better than I though as they had been in flower since 4th February. I was pleased my camera picked up some of the bird sounds but the wind was so strong near the lake I had to take all the sounds off when editing. Manages to get one goose sound but you could hear there was a lot at the other side of the island in the middle and more ducks quacking at the far side of the lake. So sorry that you didn't get my reply about the flower @5:10. I remember answering but wonder if I didn't press the reply key🤔Here is that flowers name: The plant is grown from a bulb called LEUCOJUM and it is getting more popular as it flower later than its look-alike the Galanthus Snowdrop. It is often called "Snowflake". This one @5:10 flowers in Feb/March and is L.vernum, or "Spring Snowflake" and another that flowers in summer around May is the L.aestivum (2 feet high) or "Summer Snowflake" then there a third that flowers in autumn, the L. autumnale ( about 8 inches) called the "Autumn Snowflake" but they do like moist soil. I got the spring one L.vernum but it didn't do well as our soil as it very dry at times. I am thinking about the autumn one to try, if I can find one🤔 as it flowers in September andit likes sandy soil. Hope you find one you like as it is a pretty flower and just three planted together should look very nice. When they die down the clumps can be divided, if they have increased and transplanted straight away. Hope that is of help. Have a happy Friday and great weekend. Warm greetings, Julie🌞

I really thought I would not get to see the snowdrop trail before they finished flowering because the weather here had been very wet and muddy underfoot all February. Then in early March we got a fine sunny day, a bit chilly still, so off we went. I was surprised how lovely and fresh the snowdrop still looked and enjoyed that afternoon out very much. Thank you Richard. The weather here had been very wet and muddy underfoot all February so I thought the snowdrops would be gone by the time we got a good day. Considering it was almost two week into Marche I was surprised how lovely and fresh the snowdrop still looked and enjoyed that afternoon out very much. The strong, chilly wind near the lake put us off walking around it but perhaps another time as the have two bird hides on the path around it. Have a pleasant evening and a happy Sunday. Thank you Helena. I really thought I had missed seeing any snowdrops this year. The snowdrops at Kiplin Hall are wild ones and I thought they were still pretty good. I might have walked around the lake but it was a very strong westerly wind that almost blew me over when we crossed that little bridge. The map info says it is a mile around the lake with two Nature Hides on the way. We have had lots of wet weather that stopped us going sooner but then we got lucky with a week of warm days but chilly nights. Quite a lot of plants in the garden are now starting to peep through the soil together with some weeds of course🙄 and I think your flowers will you soon follow Brenda. I long for the fighting in the Ukraine to stop and for the Russian people to open their eyes and not believe the lies they get from Putin. Our garden is getting tidied up while we have a few nice dry days and then I think some shrubs pruning will be next on the list. It is nice to see some flowers waking up and I have a few violas in pots to cheer up our patio for the next few weeks. I am having eye problems just now and have to go for an MRI tomorrow to see if something is more serious with one of them. I think all will be well but I still worry. It was cold but sunny and we knew it was getting to the end of the snowdrops so I am pleased we went. I have a feeling that this place is altering all the gardens to attract more visitors in summer. It is now run by a trust but I believe the family, who have owned it for year, still live in part of the hall. Not sure we would go to it in summer that soon as they have a lot of work to do and a huge walled garden that needs a lot doing to it. It is also a longer run for a day out from us and we know nicer places we like to visit that are nearer. Hi, FF. I am sorry to be so long in getting back to you but I am having problems with my eyes so have seen an Ophthalmologist about them. What I thought was a simple has turned out to be a worry, mainly about my left eye so have had to have another Vision test and blood test and then I had an MRI last Friday. I have had two before, the last one on my lower back three years ago but this was much longer and I do not want another one as long as that was! No news is good news, so they say, so I am hoping I do not get a phone call before my next appointment in April. Well, that was good that you have been given a good appraisal for your home. I am not surprised as you have done a lot to your house and garden after all that upset with the storm damage. I hope all goes the way you want it to and you can then find a suitable place to settle down again. Always keen to see your garden and how you are getting on. Have a great week. We have a warm spell these last few days so it is nice to see flowers popping up but I do know it could turn cold again any time. Still, I I have put some violas pots to brighten the patio. The flowers you mentioned are Muscari or Grape Hyacinths. That little group was the only one I saw that day but they do come up every year and I think I might get some bulbs to put in our garden for next spring and see haw they do. I am very happy that it is finally spring. The first flowers are in large numbers in the park. The lake and the squares invite you to linger and dream. The trees are trimmed very interestingly. It was a beautiful day out Tine and the snowdrops still looked very fresh. It was sheltered on that walk so very pleasant. My camera picked up the bird sound better than I thought it would near the hall, but the wind was so strong near the lake I had to mute the sound on all the footage near the lake. If the wind had not been so strong, I would have liked to walked around the lake as they had two bird hide on the the around. This summer, Kiplin trust are re-planning and planting their large walled garden also replanting others so it would be nice to see it all one summer when finished. Fantastic scenery you have here Julie, Another great stately home and gardens, weather dosn't look too bad either, just wait for the summer this year. I've been a fair bit more busy with work this year than I have the last two years, It's nice to be able to get out and perform again properly. I may be going to Wingham Wildlife Park sometime this year, could be a fun thing to replicate that in Planet Zoo as i have most of the Animals. Best wishes to you. Geoff

Thanks for viewing Geoff. I thought I had left it too late to see the snowdrops but I was surprised how fresh they still looked. The walk to see them was quite sheltered from that strong wind so very pleasant but the walk around the lake was OFF!! It was very strong and cold with it but we had a great day out and with "SUNSHINE". I have been looking at your Planet Zoo. It looks a wonderful prog. but I am sure it is not as easy as you make it look 🤔 You make is look so realistic👍 I am sure you will get some ideas from the visit to Wingham Wildlife Park. I had no idea where it is so had a look on Google. I wish I was going as it looks a great place and they have some handy maps of the layout on the web as well. I usually print one off, if I can, as I never know it they give one out when you pay. Pleased you are busy with are getting out performing again after the last two years.
