+WestCoastAutoCraft , I always wanted some genius custom vehicle builder to combine the worlds of American muscle with the Japanese itasha art design that they develop for Japanese and, on rarer occasions, European, and VERY rare occasions, American vehicles. I kind of feel like American muscle cars and muscle trucks are a HUGE void that could be very well represented in itasha format and Japan also has a surprisingly big American muscle car scene, despite even more stringent and restrictive governmental emission and other vehicle build laws than even states like California, and it could be the next big thing in the itasha scene. I always keep dreaming of a Sailor Mars (from the anime, manga, and video game series Pretty Soldier/Guardian Sailor Moon) themed 1979-1981 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in a red, orange, yellow (and those three colors will fill the typical Pontiac Firebird/Trans Am phoenix logo while Sailor Mars will be standing in front of the logo, as in inside the phoenix logo itself, directly facing the person), pink, purple, and black motif and, in a weird twist, having a kind of KITT/Transformers-type interface where the vehicle will talk to you in either the English or Japanese voice for her character from that show. I know, it is a weird idea, right? Well, if you're wanting new ideas for a vehicle, then that would be a good place to start. Finally, you did a nice job on the vehicle that is on this video, sir. Keep up the good work, Mr. Chris Miranda.

This vehicle is amazing on so many different levels. I pride myself on doing what little I can with the customizing ability that I have at my fingertips. After watching videos like this, it makes me want to get up, walk out the door at my day job, head home and find something to work on involving my car. I don't own a Hot Rod or anything close to it, but my car is an extension of myself and my personal views on how it should look and function. Thank you Chris Miranda @ +WestCoastAutoCraft, for being someone who inspires the rest of us to get off our asses and get our hands dirty working on our rides. As for Mike Musto, you Sir always crack me up with how much of the little kid in you comes out when you're behind the wheel of something that excites you to the point of being giddy! This car, well, its a big, bad, black beast and its magic. The unique styling and detail, the thought and care and the special level of creativity needed to give birth to this drem car come from the multidimenionl talents of a specil kind of creator: a metal moulding magician who never needed to sell his soul at the crossroads in order to turn his dream into such wonderful reality. But yet there is more, much more, because this machine is alive, even while standing still in quiet contempltion of its next powerful run. The sound of the exhaust is pure metal, a symphonice roar of a massive out pouring of power in quick succession one powerful blow on Titans anvil - one after the other - a big block sound like no other and a dream car like no ofher. You ha I ve enriched my life and my stock '39 Oldsmobile and I will be forever humbled by your wondrful cars existence. Many, many thanks.

That is simply beyond kewl!!! Words can't describe how artistically gorgeous it is. The only tiny negative is running a 3.55:1 rear end with a 5-speed tranny with that big block Ford motor.... geez that is overkill, inefficient, and too old school! I'd run a 3.08:1 with a 6-speed box to drop those revs down at cruise and still maintain the WOW factor going through the gears. It would improve the comfort sound level immensely at 'legal' highway speeds providing a music-to-the-ears low big-block rumble while also extending fuel range considerably. And anytime you feel frisky drop 'er down a cog or two and let 'er rip. At least you'd have that wonderful option. Artistic creations should also be as functional as possible without detracting from the driving experience of course. Overall a fabulous fabulous creation!

I initially wanted to hate this car. I don't care for the steampunk scene or street rods with the thin tire/big rim combos and such. I'm more of the traditional hot rod type, look at my 1951 ford and you'll see. But this car is truly a beautiful work of art and Chris Miranda is an exceptional builder. Good job!
