I initially thought it was Jamie but it's Brienne
@Stitchpuppy013 жыл бұрын
It’s so gross how Jaime is always panting after his sisters snatch, which is prose is nearly always full of, but we get to see so much personality and realism in the characters, such as how he had always been manipulated by Cersei even as a boy. It’s so much like reading real people.

"Things I do for love," now take bigger meaning, he gave up Casterly rock for Cersei and tarnished his name to save his father's head... he's contrarian for sure, he doesn't deny himself his sister and goes against vow when necessary, I like him for that, not being so obsessed over "vows" and "honor"... I wonder why he's so disrespectful towards everyone tho... maybe years of unfair judgment had made him bitter and utterly cynical? Aerys's voice is on point. Good job as always !
@Akaki19998 ай бұрын
Spoiler: (Really, don't read this comment if you haven't listened/read beyond this chapter) Now that I have finished ASOS and began AFFC, I think I was wrong about him in this comment. Seems like he takes vows and honor very seriously,. Even when he has every reason to quit King's guard, he's doesn't. Also, how seriously he takes oath with Catelyn... it's just that he was tested like no one else, his vows and honor was against impossible task... yet, he gets judged by people who never had to make such a difficult choice, honor/vow on one hand and lives of millions/dad on another hand... It's easy to be honorable and take vows seriously when those things aren't tested... Basically, he's an unsung hero who's also honorable, yet people know him as oathbreaker/king slayer... and mistreatment he has to endure with Robert and everyone else... He is honorable, but not stiff with it and non pragmatic, like Ned Stark... when necessary he will do bad stuff (mostly for his family. like pushing Bran, killing Aerys, etc) he has become one of my favorite, probably most complex character in whole book thus far.

Thank you! I have a lot of fun thinking through how major characters will sound. I've recently realized that my approach is a lot like how characters sound in star wars - a blend of american and pseudo-british accents with more varied and somewhat cartoonish speaking styles and accents in the margins, including Mark Hammil and Mako impressions at points. Pretty happy with that!
