My jaw is still hanging.... The quality is insane (including the upgrades), attention to detail is next level and the owners are saints for maintaining her the way they have. Her weight and keel as a CC means max comfort and safety though I'd like to see all lines land in the cockpit personally. But, for me, the star of the show is the interior layout. An amazing place for a couple to live I'm sure! If this weren't double my budget I'd put money in escrow today!

Did you get a peek at the ship's log? It would be very interesting to learn the yacht's history under sail; it doesn't look as though it has had a hard life at sea, at all. How many nautical miles under her keel? "YACHT That Can Take You ANYWHERE....", the title says. But where has it been? Outside the Floridian coast? I am a big fan of Bill Dixon's and have made many surprisingly fast, long passages on Moodys of his design. Jordan, do you know if the interior design of the yacht was all from his pen? A ton of showy, superfluous kit on deck. Some of it looks dangerous in certain situations/conditions. Dare I mention the cabinet full of crystal glasses? Or were they Lexan? Still, if this is the kind of "look" you want, fine. Imagine this yacht after full day beating hard to windward in a gale of wind. I prefer something that actually looks as though it has earned its keep and for this asking price, I could get a whole lot more; a practical, strong, workmanlike, sea-going vessel without all the "look-at-me" stuff. It wouldn't be needed, or wanted.

Ok. Nice, very nice. Excellent condition and very well equipped. I just have two items of concern. 1. I don’t like the objects ( Jerry jogs, life raft etc) sticking out beyond the boats hull. Coming I o a dock with more than 40 thousand pounds of mass behind them. I have had scenarios like this with negative results. And 2. Again, a boat like this SHOULDN’T have to have a bunch of jugs on the rail! And in severe knockdowns and worse. Rails (even good ones like this are the first things to go. Oops! No raft. I had more tankage on a boat 1/3 smaller than this one. 200 water, 270 fuel and NO DARN JERRY JUGS on the rails. These can be remedied. Very nice boat indeed.

What an awesome boat that is a bit above my pay grade. I have one critique of your description. The forward head. You say it is awesome. And it looks very hospitable until you try to use it while hard on the wind in 20' seas. I love long passages of multiple weeks. I've lived in the V-berth. I'll be on an Oyster with a forward head next week. When the boat is beating into seas, that head will be almost unusable. It's why I reject any boat that has a forward master cabin.

Can one person solo skipper a 50’ sailboat? I’m not a sailor, just curious
@lapsedluddite338110 ай бұрын
Absolutely - but it depends on the boat, and especially on the sailor. The boat must be designed to be single handed, and the sailor must be a well seasoned yachts person. For example, Sir Francis Chichester sailed his 53 foot ketch (Gypsy Moth IV) around the world alone in 1966 (celebrating his 65th birthday during the voyage).

If you want your website to take off, you need to make it easier to find what you're looking for specifically. It's not a problem now with only a handful of boats, but it will be a monster if it grows. Need more "sort by" options. The "list" view button doesn't work. The "filter" function doesn't work. I really like the map idea, although the boat I clicked that was close to me had no info and just told me to go to Facebook (which I don't use) If you're able to work out the bugs, I'll definitely use this site to search for boats in the future. Good luck. Edited to add... This is meant to be constructive criticism. I love watching your boat tours and your entrepreneurial spirit, and I truly hope this is a successful venture for you.

For people complaining about the term affordable at 400k you have not been out of your bunkers in a while. We have high inflation rates. Boating has become extremely popular since Delos, LaVagabond, the Wynn’s, etc have created jobs living at sea. Boating is not cheap! A great boat gets premium money! This seems to be a premium 50’ boat. Most boats in this range are 10,000 per ft so this boat is actually under valued.

Gorgeous. I have a feeling it was owned by people who are coastal cruisers and set it up to what they considered to be the end degree which includes the fantasy that you’re going to do ocean passages and live aboard. Thus you have the extra gasoline and diesel Pouches on the lifelines. If you’re doing real passages you have the water and gasoline and diesel that you need in permanent tanks not hanging off lifelines that’ll be ripped off in weather and the use of which will give you housemaid’s knee as you attempt to pour it in swells. But, still, a pretty boat. I disagree with the man showing the boat. It is not a large or even very social cockpit for a boat of this size. A glass panel cabinet for your “crystal” is a death sentence for any sailboat let alone a putative blue water cruiser. The boat is a coastal cruiser set up to be a boat show boat. Not a lot of time spent on storage. Not a lot of it to spend time on. Nice nav station. Nice galley but not nearly enough storage. Anywhere. It’s exquisite. It’s a push me pull you. It’s a fantasy boat for a weekend sailor with a lot of money who puts his boat on the hard each year in temperature controlled buildings. Which is totally fine.
@lapsedluddite338110 ай бұрын
Agreed, she's a stunner, but by no means set up for serious offshore cruising. She's perfect for daysails and limited coastal cruising where you can scurry into port at the slightest hint of foul weather.
@winstoncat67856 ай бұрын
Given its age and lack of some things (washer drier) as well as possible engine and generator concerns, this is far, far too high an asking price. Also, as others have stated, this is not a good interior design for passage making and long distance navigation.

Will NOT buy this boat under any circumstances. Interior design is obviously not made for life at sea, ocean crossing would be manageable but not as comfortable as with a boat made for that, no hand hold, no sea worthy bunk, useless armchair that take all the starboard room in the main salon, etc… et… The sot of ugly doghouse (or lateral sided bimini? how do you call "that"?) increase windage massively and I would have doubts about the maneuverability of the boat in storm conditions. This is a boat for Sunday sailors. You can live aboard, but that's about it. As for the comments from @Learnin the Lines it is not the first time that we get great laudative comments only inspired by cosmetics… that tells a lot about their lack of experience in serious sailing than anything else.
@lapsedluddite338110 ай бұрын
Agreed, this stunner was designed for the yacht club set and coastal cruising at best. She'd be bloody uncomfortable in a serious offshore blow. As for the host - I do believe he is the one "Learning the Lines" so we should cut him some slack.
