Thank you for the reaction, man! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I have to confess, I do not play Genshin but my partner and I dived deep on research for a couple of weeks to get it right! In fact, I didn't realise that the lore we were covering was quite SO obscure when I wrote it!

Don't sweat it; Chiron, we're cheered. Almost all of that would in fact have been in the House of Daena (the Akademiya's library) somewhere; it's just that it would have required somebody who cared to look it up, would be willing to read books to do their research (against the recent fad for essentially making Google AI your primary source), and with the university functioning as the government there's a bit more than the usual academic pressure to focus on the "useful" disciplines. Still, that department exists and it's very plausible that the character you created exists somewhere in there. Events in Sumeru have meant that there is now somebody overseeing the Akademiya - albeit with a very hands-off approach - who would have known the rest of the information in your song and quietly made sure he'd have access to it. If nothing else, for his own protection. The one thing most likely to be off - just what cast of characters was present for the fall of Khaenri'ah and what they were all doing - there are absolutely no reliable sources for including archaeological evidence, and while the reason for this extinction of information is somewhat self-propagating and -inclusive it's okay just to know about it as long as you are very very careful where that knowledge may end up. (Meaning it is heaps not okay for everybody to know.) "Smote by the gods for their vanity" is the sanest narrative for the Akademiya to publish and push; it's probably not further from the truth than anyone including the gods minds letting slide, and anybody not stirred by the hint of discrepancy to look more deeply also does not need to be burdened by learning about the obstacles to doing so. (Your character would be one of those exceptional cases, which is why I expect he's had explained to him how all direct evidence of a causal factor can just disappear and why it's proven problematic to either make the preceding casual gossip or write a paper about it and thus do so indirectly.) The game starts very in media res; in fact, with what I suspect is a somewhat misleading presentation in which everything technically really happened but was rearranged to imply a false narrative. While the main character(s) are extremely intelligent they're also dropped in a completely new world and just never look for origin stories or make those a priority when questioning somebody, so it takes quite a while for all the fragments of this story they accidentally come across to piece together.

Murderofbirds, Chill with Aster, IslandXD, all of these focus on speculation based on lore rather than just relaying lore itself. The closest I can think of is Ashikai with her summary videos which are usually but not always devoid of speculation, yet go to her channel and still the majority of her videos are speculation videos and even then many of the ones that aren't by title still have speculation at some point in the video. Unless you know of someone I don't, I've yet to see someone focus solely on what's in the game, such as talking about the books and what they say rather than focusing on what they may mean. For example, have you ever heard someone talk about the boar princess without trying to speculate on what they think it may mean?

You MUST react to more of Stupendium's music. You don't watch Stupendium doing a song for a game; you watch Stupendium as whatever character they've decided to become for that video, canon or not. They go deep for the world lore and character dynamics for their songs, and all of the videos are produced superbly. I promise some of them will blow your mind!

Actually, Stupendium does not play Genshin. The description of the video talks a bit about the creation process, it's worth a read. They really dove in on the wiki and managed to put everything together quite well for not being familiar with the game's lore prior.

Not true. Read again the description of "Playing and researching lore". Also, in one response to a comment, they said that they did not use the wiki, this is all that Stupendium and their friends themselves learned while *playing* the game.

@@iosis9324 I'll be honest, I read the ENTIRE description on the first day and I don't recall seeing the "played" part in there (which I spotted immediately upon reading it again); I came away with the impression that it was purely research. That said, whether or not it was there, I can't imagine making something like this, even as a Day 1 player, without using a wiki. You'd have to play for at least a hundred hours to amass all of the information that was featured in the song.

I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO WATCH THIS MASTERPIECE! I've been playing this song on loop, and I am not surprised, Stupendium is an absolute comedy genius💚 fun fact: the parts where he was walking were shot on a treadmill😂 The details and efforts he puts in his work are truly insane. I recommend literally any song from him! The beauty of said songs is that he creates everything by himself, from lyrics to music to animations! "The Art of Darkness" is my ultimate favourite piece. Even though fast paced, once you get the hang of the lyrics, man is it a joy to sing!

People saying he should be the next Grand Sage, look at logo on his hat. It's the Vahumana logo, meaning he's from the Vahumana Darshan. (btw he should really be wearing yellow clothing because green is for Amurta) And if he was portraying a sage, then that would mean he is the sage for Vahumana which is one of the only 2 sages, along with the Amurta Sage, to oppose Azar making them the most likely candidates for the next Grand Sage. Though in my opinion it's likely gonna be the Amurta's sage, Naphis, that would become the next Grand Sage just because of his status as Tighnari's master and the fact that he's the only one who's name we know amongst the two of the remaining sages.

You could argue the Vahumana Darshan is the one most likely to have somebody deliberately wearing mismatched clothes to make the unspoken point there isn't actually any mandatory uniform code. (The canonicity of this is unclear. I think there really isn't any dress code, but the combination of cheap clothes made in bulk and available to students who need cheap clothes - and for some disciplines, regularly need cheap replacement clothes on short notice - and the social pressure to look like you're really from the Akademiya and thus matter means only people with some combination of money or sources of income independent of the Akademiya, strong self-identity, and ambition tend to resist dressing to conform. This description happens to include Vision wielders.)
