Genshin's music is fantastic but after revisiting Falcom's Trails series I noticed a lot of similarities. Like Al Haitham's demo theme sounds straight out of A Trails game. In a good way, both have amazing music.

Interesting, genshin ost has a wide range of variety with the sheer amount of tracks by hoyo mix (600 now i believe?) so i guess something will inevitably sound similar to another work. And alhaitham’s theme sounds the most “modern/futuristic” out of everyone excluding albedo so maybe that’s why?

@@ToscaTee Trails' tracks number in the 100s too since they span like 12 games (just go check out Falcom Music Channel on KZbin ol), so yeah there's a possibility that they both sound similar at some points. Especially with the way they both use violin and piano in some tracks. Hoyoverse does seem to take some inspiration from Trails in general (like they take inspiration from a lot of other games). I noticed in Star Rail they have turn-order manipulation via using characters' ultimates outside of their turns (pretty much a core mechanic in the entire Trails series) and break gauges that leaves the enemy weakened and defenseless (a core mechanic from Trails of Cold Steel 3, 4 and Trails into Reverie). I only hope they do more, because Trails is fun.

People like to say that Genshin stops you from playing it without Reisen, that might have been partially true at one point but nowadays there are many things to do even without reisen. Outside of farming you don't need reisen to: explore the open world, play around with the teapot, playing the card game, completing story or side quests, playing through the hang out events or even complete the reputation menu for each nation. Not to mention nothing of what I just said involves the Gacha either so people have less reason to complain about it.

So just to give you an idea of how much effort goes into each video, he's said in interviews his videos can take anywhere from 3-4 months each and he works on them in 30-45 second intervals which take about 8 hours per 45 seconds (depending on what he's working on). 11:18 You can indeed have too many of these. Those ores are capped at 9999 and the only way for you to get even more is through the daily quests. Katherine just forces them into your inventory. Starting from that point, you can't collect any mystic enhancement ores from the BP, events or emails until you make more space by either destroying or using up some of them. Rn I have more than 8000 and I don't have any weapons to level up since all of them are already maxed so I'm kind of suffering from success.
