Aizen is such a boss. I love that Kubo kept him relevant and didn’t let the new big bad completely overshadow Aizen. Aizen is a whole other problem on his own. And as we just found out, he can use Kyoka Suigetsu without openly activating it.. He’s really fused with his Zanpakuto like he said he did before he got sealed. Freakin crazy. Can’t wait to see more from him later.

The shapeshifters are twins. Kenpachi killed Loyd Lloyd who can transform into his opponents but only physically. The one Yamamoto faced was Royd Lloyd whose transformations goes a step further that copies their memories and personality. And yes Royd Lloyd bodied kenpachi and fought Yamamoto. He was just that strong of a sternritter physically.

@@N0MoreZER0S It would go exactly the same - He kills fake Yhwach with his bankai - Real Yhwach shows up and steals his bankai - Yamamoto is now hopeless to win I guess he could at least try using some kido, but there's not much he could do. Having two hands would make him better at melee, but he can't fight at melee range because of Yhwach's Zanka no Tachi West

Not sure if that's actually the case, since Ywhach can adjust the strength of their blut; so Quincies' offense and defence are significantly amplified. What you're saying is pure garbage though.

It's not specified one way or the other, thus a plot hole not plot armor, but from what we do know we can infer that just like Yama, Sasakibe got to comfortable in peace time. (Especially by the SS arc). He was at least cought by surprise of Ichigo's strength and at most actually weaker than Ichigo. (He survived the 1st war, but other than surprise attacking Ywach he probably could have just fought fodder that SS Ichigo would have been able to handle.)

They cut out Royd and Loyd's short backstory in the anime, which in my opinion should've been included . Basically they are twins and share the same ability, "The Yourself"(Mirror match). Kenpachi clapped Loyd, then he got clapped by Royd.

Just to clear up some confusion there are 2 Y - The Yourself sternritters which are the twin brothers Loyd Loyd and Royd Loyd. Loyd Loyd can copy shape and power of another person. He used this power to fight Kenpachi and lost. Royd Loyd can copy shape and memories another person. He used his power to mimic Yhwach's mannerisms to fool Yamamoto, and was defeated by Yamamoto. It is assumed that either he was strong enough to beat Kenpachi on his own since his ability doesn't copy the power, just the shape and memories, or he was given more power by Yhwach to make him more stronger to fool Yamamoto better. tl;dr Royd Lloyd - "Y" for "Yourself" (Mimics appearance and powers of a target) Loyd Lloyd - "Y" for "Yourself" (Mimics appearance and personality/memories of a target)

There's Loyd Lloyd (the guy that fought Kenpachi), and Royd Lloyd (the guy that fought Yamamoto). They're twins. Both are Sternritter Y, and both have essentially the same abilities. They're also both dead now.

Kenpachi defeated Lloyd Loyd with mid diff. Lloyd's twin brother, Royd Loyd, then took out Kenpachi with mid diff. Both of them had the shapeshifting ability, and that made it almost impossible to tell which one was which, even from birth.
