The interesting thing about this case was when the Judge took the chain and said the plaintiff was repossessing it. I don't recall ever seeing the Judge do that. What if the item being returned has depreciated in value ? In this case it involved a gold chain that apparently has some decent weight to it so it most likely held its value. But what if it were something else that cleary has depreciated in value. Would the plaintiff get that item returned, plus some cash ? Just curious.......
