@@jahleelwasser8981 Nope. Racism is concept. I for example, i was lower middle class my whole life my parents were disabled and worked petty jobs, and all people i mingled with were same and lower. After I graduated with engineering and studied extra and worked so much in everything for years, now i am making good money but not 100,000$ a year but close to this, i stopped looking back at my people, because i am too busy sustaining or trying to grow more, and now interacting with middle to upper class on regular basis, thats how people operate now. They just too busy with their lives to desire to go extra to reach out to poor people.

@@wcstevens7 Mandela did a good thing, in that he avoided the slaughter his commie comrades were itching to begin. But he couldn’t root out a culture of laziness and corruption which was ascendant in the Winnie Mandela faction of the ANC. Mandela was the anomaly-The problem with the ANC is that it was a revolutionary anti-apartheid party-Best suited to winning the day. But not suited for the day to day operations of government. Old MK fighters with the AK-47 stashed under their beds did not make for good government ministers, businessmen, and the like. They needed jobs, and their children need a good education. But the upper echelons of the ANC care only for lining their own pockets and increasing their own power way beyond anything the National Party leadership ever conceived of. Mandela should have helped found more political parties, spread the power around. Instead he allowed the ANC to make South Africa into a one party state.

In a secular South Africa there is no way a person can be poor unless by choice. Blacks in South Africa have more opportunities due to BEE - Affirmative Action. !st to get high positions in term of Management post etc even with a lower pass rate than to non blacks.

This is what happens when you try to do everything through a centralized govt. The entire political class’s pockets are lined before any of them even begin to worry about how they make themselves appear as though they are trying to deliver services. Get rid of politicians, keep the treasury, and strengthen the rand so the poorest with the fewest rands can afford the basics. Right now, the poorest have rands worth less and less and a government that takes the few resources available and squanders them.

Yes that's logical, but for those people it's hard to see it that way. First, because many of them didn't have access to sexual education, so they just don't know how to prevent having children. Renaldo Smith South African wine is an industry that employs hundreds of blacks some of whom have been given accommodation on the farms. Over the years I have spoken to many of the workers who told me that they are very happy with their lot. Boycotting SA wine or any other goods made in that country will only hurt the blacks more. The real target should be the cANCer, the totally corrupt, totally inept, commie “government” whose only interest is lining their own bottomless pockets and to hell with the idiotic electors who will keep returning them to power for the price of a T-shirt and bucket of KFC. They must go back to the homelands until arrangements have been made where they can get a house when their turn is due . The waiting list is years and the conditions are filthy , unlike in the homelands where they plant food and attend local schools. There they live in tight knit communities and no one feels in danger like in the cities .Whites pay the tax and they are being killed or chased out of business due to new laws which dictate black management and shareholders ( up to 51 % of your business for free ) . So with fewer tax payers , 4 million to pay for the other 70 million , it is not feasible , and its getting worse by the month.

This needs an update. The city now has 2million more people in 7 years, the council is spending billions upgrading the poorest areas. What other programs are being instituted to help the self builders with proper planning and building support for their self built houses. Ironically this funding has been available for 35 years but its not being accessed or used because people just don't know it exists plus the labels applied just dont do justice to the complex situation. There are those that just refuse to pay council taxes and when areas are upgraded, they move to a new unpopulated area and set up again. Not everyone is like this and for those who want the organisation and structure, it needs to be provided in a super organised way.

Poverty in South Africa is both the result of the abolishing of Apartheid. The black South Africans were poor already, but they all had jobs. Thanks to the Presidents after Mbeki this is what South Africa is made. Somewhere I feel that this video is made to bring apartheid view. Back somewhere. The guard is white, and all poor people's are black. However, white poverty is a massive problem too.

No it was not beautiful before apartheid ended. Our people had no rights and were physically and emotionally abused on a daily basis. We have much poverty today but the best thing that happened to us was the end of that horrible system that the previous government forced us into. Please think before you make these comments.People died during apartheid for no reason other than the colour of their skin. Stevie Wonder wrote a beautiful song called 'I am singing' which was a prophetic song about love and unity for all South Africans. Let's hope we achieve that someday.

@@hippiechic9441 you need to do some research! Here in America we were slaves and beaten and humiliated. In SA the whites did not want blacks to indulge in ANY kind of way in the community that THEY created except if they wanted to work for them. Also they did not want interracial relationships. On the black side which is Soweto Johannesburg ect black people could do whatever they wanted they could have built their own communities and created their own jobs. But instead they fought and fought to be in Cape Town. And once they got in they built a massive slum right in beautiful Cape Town. It’s shameful!

@@allybean8885 do you have any idea how expensive these products were before the lockdown? No like seriously. My father pays R27,00 for one pack of cigarettes. Wine costs up to 120-ish a bottle. A 6 pack of beer somewhere around R46,00. Bread costs R12,00, basic 20kg maize cost around R120,00. You can feed an entire family on that, of course you don't have to have six mouths to feed but hey that's none of my businesses...

@@allybean8885 my point is that they think their children will take care of them in their old age when the children themselves don't complete school and have an extra 4 mouths to feed. Our census proves that more people have children out of wedlock for the simple reason of getting R250,00 a month (not entirely sure) but then drop the children at grandma's house who can barely keep herself fed on her government funded pension. The cycle repeats itself...

I grew up in the projects, hands down I like the mobile homes better because you have more privacy. People underneath us always complained about noise, which is impossible because everything was made from concrete. I still think mobile homes would make a great investment and you can even have air conditioning and ceiling fans. Projects you can’t have nothing, not even a washing machine.

Get educated. Get a job, any job... can't find a job, make a broom and start cleaning and sweeping the streets. Get a group of people to help sweep the streets. Start picking up trash and putting it one location. Ask for help to pick up trash, kids and women will help. Start to organize groups to improve their lives. Show people how to improve their lives by example... What are you beginning? You're doing what white people do to improve and succeed in life.
