The tarot deck changed over time as people used it, and eventually it turned into the deck we use today (your standard playing card deck). In the 1800s, long after people started using the normal kind of poker deck- other people sort of "rediscovered" this old deck, and decided to use it for fortune telling. At first, mostly gypsies used it- but then it became a popular thing to tell fortunes with tarot cards at circus's or parties, and it became kind of trendy in the late 1800s

Tarot was invented in the mid 15th century as a playing card game. It has 4 suits, like a modern deck- but they were called different things (Cups, wands or staves, swords, and coins or pentacles)- they have an extra face card, called "page" which comes before the Jack- which is called "knight", plus 22 "major arcana" cards. THey're cards that don't have a suit, but instead are their own thing- like "Death", "Temperence", " The Lovers", etc etc

Thank you, yes- I scanned these on a high quality 600dpi scanner and had them professionally printed. The reproduction quality is amazing. I'm still blown away by how 3d some of the cards look

That's the thing about fortune telling- it's like astrology- if you can make it general enough it could apply to *almost* anyone- of course that's IMHO- I'm a total skeptic but I think it's FUN! I dunno, maybe it is spooky spooky magic and I'm totally wrong! I'm glad you like the deck, thanks a million!

Some church people said that it was evil or whatever- and the fact that it was kind of "bad" made people like it even more (like ouija boards or palm reading). It doesn't have any special powers, but people like to think it does. They've given each card a "meaning" and depending on what order they're in, and which come up- it can "tell your fortune" (not really, but people like to imagine it can).

This video is great! Love that it's more unique than every other asmr video. Those tarot cards are really cool too. I wouldn't worry about them being cut perfectly, sets them apart from boring, unoriginal, manufactured tarot cards.

This may be a stupid question, but is that deck smaller prints of your original larger designs? And if so, how did the three dimensional elements print out without a lot of shadows? What's ever the case, you did an awesome job on those cards. You are quite the artist in addition to the ASMR!!

well, I guess you could say- it would require great focus and mental dedication, but it doesn't say yes or no- I think it works! But I also don't believe tarot has any magic in it, and it's all a matter of perspective- good for introspection and examining your life and decisions- bad if you're looking for a quick fix!

I actually found them distressing as well. I believe it has to do with how sensitive you are to stuff like this, and how strongly you believe in it, and what experiences you've had.

Retarded is a little harsh, but yeah- basically- that's why I thought it would make a perfect video- because on some level EVERYONE can relate to something so incredibly general. I also don't believe that tarot is magical on any level, nor in any other institutionalized religious or spiritual schools of thought. Because it's all pretty much that. Doesn't mean you can't have fun though!
