The cardstock has a wonderful smooth but soft texture- which is why I was drawn to it- because it feels and sounds great. I honestly picked it largely because it felt and sounded better- not because it looked that different

I don't actually read tarot. Mostly, what I've learned about it through crafting this deck- is that it's an intuative process, guided largely by your feelings and interpretations. It's very flexible, and personal. I recommend the aeclectic tarot site. They have a REALLY great rundown of all the different layouts and meanings- they also have an extremely active forum when you can get good tips and help figuring out what stuff means.

It does feel pretty fantastic to have something i've made printed and distributed. I Just sent off packages to Demark, France, Scotland, and a couple different parts of the US yesterday- I am going to be really excited to hear the reaction when the packages arrive.

There are copies of the smaller size for sale on etsy now, yes! I'm so delighted you enjoy the aesthetic. You should give it a go- make your own deck of cards. You'll never know if they'll be awesome or suck until you try, and even if they suck- well at least you tried!

It can take up to 4 weeks due to customs, and with the east coat being all messed up it is possible it will take even longer, but generally I've heard the time frame is about 3-3/12 weeks :)

I think the main thing that distinguishes you from other (great) ASMR/whispering channels are your arts and crafts. Seeing you make your very tactile and artful projects has an inherent ASMR quality unique to itself. One thing that always triggered me was watching classmates in school fold origami in their spare time; seeing their careful focus was hypnotic and relaxing. Your videos have the same quality. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing with us your affinity for art. :)

the pictures mostly come from the internet. I use public domain image banks, cabinet card gallery, etc. The art supplies I"ve accumulated over years- some specialty local art supply places, but also michaels, art media, and ebay!

It's called "hook and line" and it's from the series of Hunger Games nail polishes. They're all really awesome colors. I thinkit looks a little like stainless steel. Anyway, THANK you. Yes- it thrills me to NO end. I'm just so happy to finally get them all done.

Ah- I get what you mean- like a craft fair. Yes- we have some of those here in my city. One called "saturday market"- but there are other smaller craft fairs too. I have thought about doing something like that but I don't really want to devote all that time to selling them. I'm very happy with just having them on etsy- though at some point I MAY take them to an art gallery.

I am sooo excited to get a deck I can hardly stand it! Fnerrrrrr! way to go on choosing a less glossy finish, the end result is perfection! One day they will be collectables, and end up in someones time capsule. Then, as an old lady, you can watch it be opened by another collector. Yes! I ripped the lady from the "world" card right from the traditional Raider-Waite deck and pasted her onto a collage- I also used oil pastels to colorize her- but I'm not surprised you recognize her. There are some other famous images scattered throughout as well

That's totally the direction my art has taken. Like a surreal victorian study or something- I didn't intend for it to wind up there, but sometimes the art just sort of drags me along behind it. I'm delighted you dig the style- thanks for commenting.

There is a booklet that comes with the cards that explains what each is for- though I myself don't practice or read tarot.

Hello. I just received your current edition and posted a video on it. Judging from your video here, I and many others would have preferred the size and the cardstock of this particular edition. I would gladly pay more money for this cardstock and size. Your artwork is so beautiful, it definitely shines a lot more on this particular cardstock and in this particular size.

I have ONE large deck left, and yes- I can make sure it is well packed. I have shipped to Australia, Germany, Cyprus, the UK, France, and Russia without any poblems- so I think it should be ok... I totally agree that the gloss would have killed them. I am SO glad I decided at the last minute to go with the matte. Whew. They say our snap judgements are often the best. And yeah- it's CRAZY cool to hold a deck. It's like- popping a year old mental pimple, but way less gross than that. lol.

honestly i think they would be great for almost any shop around town. small arts and crafts stores and what not. they are really really cool and i think they would sell well in shops. i agree that the fees are better on etsy but i dont think people would mind paying an extra few bucks to have them. maybe try and get a vender at saturday market to sell them or atleast put them on display and i bet people would buy them up. there cool as hell

They are really exceptional and beautiful. You should be very proud. I've often fancied creating a set of tarot and imagined them with a similar style/feel to yours. Don't sweat it. I've spent most of my adult life scavanging enough cash to pay my electricity bill. Only very recently have I gotten a *little* less freaked out about money- though I'm still really paycheck to paycheck. The name came from listening to leonard cohen and a stream of conciousness inspiration that went with it. Tower of song became tower of silence became citadel of silence became silent citadel. :) I promise to not change too much. All of the cells in our bodies except a few in our cereberal cortex and a few in our eye die and are replaced by new ones frequently- after 7 years you have an entirely new mind and body- so I might change a little. ;)

Word to needing money and having none. I've lived most of my adult life in that state. I takced a disclaimer on to the description of the vid that's partially aimed at you. Don't worry about it. Art is a very low priority when it comes to disposable income. Rent, bills, food, intoxicants, bus fare or gas or whatever- Being alive is bloody expensive, and I've never been wealthy enough to forget the importance of my next paycheck.

I don't either, really :) I made them more as an art project than anything. I don't believe in, nor practice tarot- but I did some research, and made these to represent the meanings of the cards. However- if you took out the "page" cards and the major arcana- you could play poker with them. No kidding. Did you know tarot decks were the first kind of playing card deck? There are actually games designed for them...
