The Shockwave was way more intense and defined when they added the manhole cover over the dynamite. Just laying it on open ground beneath the vehicle proved much more chaotic and unpredictable, compared to the other. You can see it very clearly in the high-speed photography footage, an extremely defined pressure ripple through the air, propagating up, more than laterally, causing a much more pronounced and intended result.

I'm not a big fan of remakes. But I do think that a remake of the A-Team would be successful in today's market. And maybe even a little less PG and more intense. Fun fact of the day: No one ever died in the original show until the last episode.
@Muck0069 жыл бұрын
+coltsrule5150 There is a problem with remakes ... and that is the "escalation of special effects and action". In the 80s they made pretty ridiculous and "won't work ever" builds, but what would they have to do today? Just look at "the Transporter" movies and the relaunch. The original was NEVER about "Bond cars" or "sexy (american style) girls" ... but they felt it necessary to include them. Why? Because filmmakers think that a sequel will not be successful unless they escalate those things to higher levels. Obviously they dont realize that there is a limit to the amount of violence and/or sexiness before it gets too ridiculous. However ... as we have learned from the Transformers movies, audiences are not always thinking that "ridiculous" and "bad" are a bad thing. The A-Team was ridiculous in the 80s, but IMO the way to go today would be "realistic" and "all the stuff actually works" to make it interesting.

+coltsrule5150 Why do people keep saying that nobody ever died on the A-Team? General Fulbright was killed while working with the A-Team. I'm guessing it is the people who never really watched the show or just seen a few episodes. And it looks like we will see if an A-Team remake will be any good since it was just announced that a remake is in the works. I can't say I am excited about it since there isn't a lot of evidence to claim that remakes are as good as the original source material.

ChargerBullet No one was killed until the last episode when General Fulbright was killed. I said that, I just didn't mention who it was.
@ChargerBullet9 жыл бұрын
***** That wasn't the last episode of the series. It was the last episode from the fourth series. It was a way to set up Fulbright's daughter as a new member of the A-Team starting in the fifth season. It didn't materialize and the new team member was Frankie.

When they used the plunger to set off explosives, it was purely for the visual. They could have done the same thing with a 9 volt battery and a switch. It just looked more impressive using the antique plunger.

From what I understood they were able to work together, but after nearly a decade together they want to move on other things. I feel that Jaime Hyneman decided he wasn’t for the spotlight and preferred to stay behind the scenes while Adam Savage took to the spotlight well. But they do still work together, as I recall Jaime Hyneman is a producer for the Mythbusters jr show.

Samuel Kelly The cartridge is sealed, and smokeless or blackpowder will oxidize itself in any condition as long as it's dry and not damaged. So long as the powder is dry it'll fire underwater, in space, or on the surface of Venus before the acidic atmosphere eats through, though the high temperatures might cook the round off first.

I'm just a dum guy, I never graduated from even high school, but........ some people in history didn't either, they made a huge "Impact" on life..... There is soooo much to fault with the "busters", and I know they tried. I mean I love them, I saw every one ever made and then some. I could put a license plate on a turtle, or an H1 humvee and beat the speed trap camera, don't need a jet car. The "air powered jet boat", well it could have done at least 75mph, at least if it didn't fart in the water, you had MILLIONS of foot pounds of energy at your fingertips and didn't perfect it. I can fix it. things that make you go Hmmmmmm
