Great tech without a doubt! But curious to know how compliance and data sovereignty will be addressed in this architecture. Also are there any pre-requisites for participating DCs ...

is it possible to connect my home computer and contribute to the network?
@andrewbest13333 жыл бұрын
Yes. I too would like to help CENTRALIZE everything and give total control to a single network that can remove me from it with zero alternatives and has total information awareness of my every move online. How can I help achieve this glorious thing.

Because TCP/IP will never be fixed to allow small players to compete with incumbents. ICP may fix that. My knowledge of it is rather superficial as of now.

You lost me because I cannot get over trying to redefine "subnet" in my brain as "not ip subnet and something else entirely that has nothing to do with any previous definition of subnet." Regardless, I'm not really seeing the advantage or difference of this architecture over the current infrastructure. It doesn't appear to be any more decentralized. We'll find out soon I guess. If people flock to this new network for porn, drugs and government-censored communications, then it's legit. If they don't, it's worthless.

I can't answer with THEIR reasons but... you need an accounting system to prevent abuse of resources. Trading resources is a nice side effect. Multimaster db-like transaction processing is a nice side effect. ID through private keys is a nice side effect.
