Onion peeler warning... life can be so cruel.... torn between her Mum and her sick husband and never got to say goodbye to him. He looked like such a nice guy and them a lovely family. This was a really special one even if really sad. Whoever this Secret Santa is, he is doing some amazing things.

you know when we lost our 31-year-old son to a fishing accident, and after the funeral, we received so much support, but what was the hardest was the checks...a lot of them. When I went to the bank to cash them, I started to cry in front of the teller and yelp out that I don't want this, I want my son, and she took my hand, I left the bank sat outside and composed myself, and went back in...and to this day that teller was the sweetest person around. When I watch these especially the loss of family, it's not easy, Thank you, sir, for asking "How you holding up" It makes a difference in the response. Because it's more caring.

Thanks for everyone's responses in regards to my Father dying from COVID-19 last Thursday, truly appreciated at this time. It was a beautiful day in Chicago today (Dec 9, 2020), 50 and Sunny, The wake yesterday and the funeral were wonderful and very well organized. My father was a Veteran so the Army played Taps graveside, very emotional for all as they lowered him into the ground. COVID-19 did a lot of damage to my Father physically after 2 weeks in ICU. He lost so much weight, he was very athletic. The man I saw today was a shell of who he was. COVID destroys the body. His Grandson was the Priest who did the Mass, it was very moving. My father is Home now as the Priest said. R.i.P. Dad, you were truly a great man and raised NINE children with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved you.
