Since you like the Bee Gees, I have one of their greatest songs, from 1975. Called " Nights On Broadway " check it out. I bet you will love it!! Happy listening. 😊

It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats. This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad!

The Bee Gees were able to adapt their talent several times. They recorded "Stayin' Alive" in the disco era and it became a standard for people to dance to. Too Much Heaven came later. They are from Australia but were born on the Isle of Wight in the British Isles.

I'm so happy to see the younger generation learning to appreciate music from our time. Our daughter is an '80's girl too, and grew up on the music we listen to even today: '60's, '70's up to the early '80's for the most part. She says she was born in the wrong era. Too Much Heaven was released in 1978, the year I met my husband, when I was 17. So long ago. It is as beautiful now as it was then. The singer in the center, Barry, caused a sensation with his gorgeous hair and this style still causes "hair envy" in men today.

The Bee Gees were an Australian Rock/Pop trio, that recorded their music from the 1960s to the 1990s. Most of their hit recordings were made in the 1960s and 1970s. The Bee Gees had a lot of hit recordings for the soundtrack for the 1978 film, "Saturday Night Fever". "Too Much Heaven" was from that soundtrack album. Two other songs from the "Saturday Night Fever" Soundtrack album recorded by The Bee Gees that you might want to react to, are "Staying Alive", and "You Should Be Dancing".

@@LaptopLarry330 they only lived in Australia for 9 years. Barry spent most of his childhood within the British Isles and was nearly 12 when he and his family left England for Australia in 1958 as £10 poms. They moved back to their homeland 9 years later in 1967. They formed the Bee Gees when in Australia but they were already singing in a group long before they left for Australia. Robin was proud of being British and was a reputable historian of his country's history. A few Aussie born artists were members of the Bee Gees so I guess the group could be considered a British- Australian band but not exclusively an Aussie band. The Gibb brothers, no dispute: they were Brits.

This was 1979. By this time, the BeeGees had already been singing professionally for 20 years. Barry Gibb is in the middle. He's the one with that amazing falsetto voice and gorgeous hair. Robin Gibb is on his right and Maurice Gibb is on his left. Robin and Maurice are fraternal twins. The 1st time they sang on TV was in 1958. Remarkably, at that time Barry was 10 years old and the twins were only 7.

Can't go wrong with the Bee Gees, multitalented group made up of 3 Gibb brother's from the late 70's who can actually sing. The youngest brother Andy Gibb, who was amazing solo artist is his own right rounded off the singing brother's. Sadly only one Gibb brother is alive, Andy passed away first then Maurice passed and finally Robin passed away leaving only Barry to carry on. Bee Gees music is timeless and will forever live on for the younger generation to enjoy

Here are some facts about the Bee Gee's: 1.Barry Gibbs is 2 years older than I am. I grew up in this Era called DISCO. 2.Barry was the lead singer and his brother's were mostly backup, but all 3 were GREAT. 3.This was Family Harmony at its best. (Three voices sounds like one). 4.They were a normal band until they tried something different. 5.It was an accident, they decided to sing "FALSETTO" for fun. 6.The people loved it, and DEMANDED more. 7 This became their unique, signature sound, and trademark that shot them to the top. 8. Barry was the lead singer, Robin and Maurice HARMONIZED ALSO IN FALSETTO. 9.Their unique sound that made them famous. 10 If you listen close you can hear the Falsetto of all 3. 11. It became their standard. The Disco Era was dying at this point. 12. The Bee Gee's Music, breathed new life into the Disco Era. 13, That kept DISCO alive and popular for many more years. 14. The Bee Gee's wrote 1030 songs in their life. 15.They wrote many songs, for other famous artist, who made those songs famous. 16.They broke many long standing records, in their lifetime. 17. They wrote all of their own music. 18. And all 3 played instruments themselves. 19. They would be honored that a new generation is hearing their music. 20. Feel free to check out my facts for yourself.

What you are saying about you being this past decades kinda girl sounds like a romantic person? That you’re not getting now. I’m am a man and feel romantic to. The older music sang to you not at you. Some of the music now compares the high gotten for the love of someone to the synthetic high of drugs and alcohol. That’s just trash and it’s not real and it won’t last neither the relationship based on that or the music based on that. Did you see that it was a live music video. They were on a sound stage with The Bee Gees somewhere in the middle. They didn’t hide the musicians. They were right there in front of you and the voices. What a good mix. At the beginning a trumpet appears. One trumpet plays then one answers on top of it then another then another. That was the intro. The guy in the middle of these three brothers was Barry. Tho all three were talented singers musicians and producers. Barry would have produced this music and song. There was a lot of money and royalties to be earned thru the years on this song. But on this song The Bee Gees gave it to one of their charities which makes it even a more greater love song. Artist who write songs call them their babies because when they’re finished they’re attached to them. This baby they created they gave away for the decades to a future not only we could listen to but would fund a non-profit charity.
