Had one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard and put him with Bill Medley nothing could beat them, blue eyed soul.

Unchained Melody was composed for the movie Unchained in 1955. The concept was about a man incarcerated and wondering, hoping his love will wait for him.

Bobby has a vast discography after the group split in 68. Most remained unknown due to the problems in the record companies but recently the unforgettable talented and amazing singer has been released in The Richard Perry Sessions, including his records in London Apple Studios of The Beatles George and Ringo , the staggering 1972 Stay with me ! 30 years after his performance of Unchained Melody he rerecorded for the film Ghost. The Righteous Brothers became the first act to have two versions of the same song in the Top 20 at the same time in 1991. The re-recorded version was certified Platinum by the RIAA on January 10, 1991, and received a Grammy Award nomination. After reunited with Bill again in Righteous Brothers, Bobby performed until his death in 2003 at the age of 63. The best male vocal voice, his range went from soprano to countertenor. Unique, inimitable , but with no ego, humble and gentle. He definitely deserves the term Iconic

Bobby Hatfield had a solo album in 1971 "Messin' In Muscle Shoals" which had promotion problems. It is with wonderful creativity and diversity. My favorite song on that album is "I Saw A Lark". My very favorite song of my very favorite singer Bobby Hatfield is "For Your Love 💕".

Also, don't forget the Righteous Brothers album, Rebirth (done when Bill left and Bobby teamed up with Jimmy Walker). Think it's from 1969.

I want to clarify something. The statement seems to imply that they both were at university. Bobby was; Bill wasn't. Bobby was friends with fellow student, Barry Rillera. Barry, a guitarist, had a band, but also would play with Bobby's group, The Variations, also Bill's group, The Paramours. He knew Bill because they worked together delivering furniture for a local furniture store. Bobby's fraternity was having a dance. He wanted Barry's group for the entertainment. (Barry was in a different fraternity.) He had heard about Bill from Barry and suggested he bring him too. At some point in the evening, Bobby asked if he could sing with Bill. 🎶 Not long after that the Variations broke up, and The Paramours needed to reorganize. That's when Bobby joined the Paramours. As they say, the rest is history. Barry was for many years the Righteous Brothers' guitarist; he is often referred to as the third Righteous Brother. In addition to everything else, Bobby served as a pilot in the US Navy. 😂 Guess I said more than just a clarification. Edit: Here is one of two or three recordings Bobby made with the Paramours. Enjoy! kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ-2pXhvrah9a9ksi=ae4DPa_vyfUJIXYD

How did Bobby serve in the Navy and have a singing career? I never heard of that and I've googled it and found nothing. Can you please provide a link? Thanks!
@Aurora-tp3dy Жыл бұрын
@@catherinelw9365 He was in the Navy before his singing career. He enlisted in the Navy in 1959. Learned about it from the page his children have to honor him, "Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers, the Official Page". There are 2 posts referencing it. Hope that helps. [Wanted to add: It would be possible to do both simultaneously if you were in the reserves. That's what the Everly Brothers did, Marine reserves.]

Thank you for the post and I appreciate your series. Is this a robot voice? If it is, and the drawing rather than a photograph, give a false and inhuman aura to the artist, and are contrary to the emotional soulful art and human of Bobby Hatfield.

A Duo is A "Duo" [ 2 singers] is NOT a "group." thanarritiver makes it sound as if they were duo starting in college. They were not. They helped form a five man singing group called the Paramours. No instruments, they had to have a band backing them.The other three members eventually left and Bill and Bobby were left, continuing as a duo.
