This sounds exactly what I’m seeking here in the USA. I’d love to have a tiny home in a small farmstead community where we share gardens and have community chickens. The idea of sharing the responsibility of caring for the gardens/chickens with my neighbors is quite appealing to me. I envision each home having perhaps 1/2 to one acre so they can have the space to have an area for their own pet(s) and maybe a garage or carport.

I envision owning my plot, having enough surrounding land to create a dog or cat enclosure with temp animal pen fencing, and being able to have a storage shed or 2, and extremely limited interference with rules (if within a community). Just basic common sense rules or guidelines with protection from people on power trips with the desire to control others to align or else. Hive-minded.

Hi! So I looked into it and yes it seems like they are planning to decrease the number of new permanent residents they approve but I'm not sure when that starts or what the decrease will look like.

These communities freak me out because the look like cults at first glance. Is there a way to put more distance between the houses? Or make them look significantly different?

Hey! It depends on the developer. Some developers create the communities to be more or less dense depending on how much land they have and their overall approach to the community. Also, everyone has different preferences in terms of the distance between people. The houses are not always exactly the same because some communities allow people to bring their own tiny homes if that makes sense.
