Well, Omori is a fan of Fromsoft games (Havel's Armor cameos in Season 1 of Danmachi, during the ep where Bell goes to the armor shop), so it makes sense... Will is a battery (I think that's what they call 'Wis', his power name or skill name).. he needs a weapon that can handle strong magic so he can use both the charged energy in him and the strength of his weapon to maximize attack power.. it also allows him to use his own spells like the Mages. As long as he is charged

This is why Yuki Hayashi is my favourite composer for anime. His themes retain some of his style while matching perfectly with whatever genre of show he’s working on. If I heard this and Haikyuu’s OST blind I would not be able to tell it’s the same guy. While I love composers like Sawano I think for example Sawano’s biggest flaw is a lot of his music having too much of his usual style that I can basically immediately tell it’s him. Makes it so if I heard one of his tracks I can’t really tell if it’s from say 86 or AOT because of how similar they are. Not that it’s a bad thing I love 86 & AOT music it’s just I wish more composers branched out and actually matched their music with the genre.
