Morning! Just after 4 a.m. southern California and your video just came up. I really must read the Hitchhiker's Guide!!! Not a sci fi fan but when this book comes to my attention I find it appealing...I love to laugh. What a good idea--- A to Z !!

What a great idea for a video series! Loved this first one, and I'm looking forward to more. I didn't know a lot about Douglas Adams' life, so this was very interesting. I really enjoyed the books and the radio program, which my ex-husband had on cassette tape. I listened to it over and over again. Thank you for the video!

Great idea! A-Z. Last month I finally got the Complete Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy in one hefty book--from my local 2nd hand bookshop! So good inspiration to do.

Good morning, I'm watching as I enjoy my breakfast here in Florida. I think watching you go through your books alphabetically will be a very enjoyable experience. I love to know what books other readers have in their libraries. I haven’t read Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy, but it does sound funny and quirky as you said. 😊

Love Hitchhiker's Guide!! Several times, I actually laughed out loud. So wish I could have listened to the radio show. I need to continue with the others in the series... Thank you for all the lovely reviews and recommendations. Have a great vacation!!

Enjoyed the tv series of 'Hitchhikers Guide' and read some of the books, although its so long ago that i can't remember how many of them I read🤔, some would have been library books. Like the idea of an A- Z of favourite author's.

I haven't read Douglas Adam's, but I'll be sure to pick up one now. Thank you. I thought I was the only one who categorized my library by author. 😊

Thank you so much for this video! I quiet like this idea of A to Z books! You always mention something that I did not know either about the book or the author! So it is very interesting to watch! Have an amazing holiday! And hello to Tilly as always!:-)

Hi again, have a wonderful holiday, and lots of fun and be safe. I wanted to tell you I’ve been to Highgate Cemetary! It was one of the main places I wanted to visit when we went to England! I’d had a pictorial book from the library about Highgate, and wanted to see all the Ivy-covered angels and other art from the Victorian period. We enjoyed it so much! Thank you!😊😊😊

Hello, I am a viewer from Canada. I very much enjoy your videos and reviews. In answer to your question this morning about whether I shelve alphabetically by author, yes, I do. I have just had a room in my basement ( high and dry) converted into a library. It houses my literary and mystery books. The family room is home to my sci Fi and fantasy books. The small bedroom is home to all the reference and history, geography and miscellaneous books. I'm not sure what our children are going to do with all of my books but I love them. I can say that I have read almost all of them. Lately I have done less reading but reshelving the books recently has re inspired me to pick up some of my favourites. Your fan, Marion

Douglas Adams freely admitted that his Hitchikers books were hugely influenced by Kurt Vonnegut's wonderful 1959 novel The Sirens Of Titan which is by turns laugh out loud hilarious and profoundly moving dealing as it does with topics such as time travel, space travel, artificial intelligence, robotics and so much more. Vonnegut is mainly remembered now for his anti war story Slaughterhouse 5 but in my humble opinion Sirens is an even greater achievement.

And Another Thing is fine, quite enjoyable in fact, but not essential -- for obvious reasons it just doesn't have the Douglas Adams magic. Douglas Adams also wrote Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency and The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul (both of which I enjoyed enormously).

Thanks for this. Yes, originally mentioned Dirk Gently in the video - but I had a problem with my editing app and had to cut it rather than spending hours trying to sort it! I saw the TV series of Dirk Gently (I think it was on Netflix?) and really enjoyed it. I have heard of the other one but not read it - thanks for this reminder.

Great idea! Although I think it is rather unfortunate you started with the best increasingly inaccurately named trilogy, it can only go downhill from here in my opinion. But I'll gladly let you surprise me
