A TOOTHPICK fixed my Fujifilm Instax (and Teardown)

This is fantastic. I've repaired lots of old rangefinder cameras, but I'm always worried about fragile plastic parts on cameras like this. I have exactly the same issue on my Instax 7, in that the exposure dial no longer clicks into position. Is there a shortcut to that particular repair without a complete disassembly? Thanks.

Thank you! My little baby somehow managed to kick the spring out of the lighting switch. Didn’t understand where it was supposed to go or how to open it to put it back. Almost just left it as is but I found your video. Thanks!

Hi, I have an instax 300 wide that won't power on. I don't even get an error message, the batteries are good and in correctly. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thank you very much 🔥 I have some silly questions, since my flash bulb broke and I couldn't find any replacement, can I wire up some hotshoe adapter to my instax? If yes, where should I attach the wire to? I notice some delay between the shutter and the button, so I can't solder it directly on the shutter button Thanks again. ✌️

Hello! Do you have any advice on fixing the camera shutter? One side of mine was dislodged (wouldn't open or shut, but it was rattling around). I've taken the front off to find one of the tiny prongs has broken (visible at 2:05 in your video) - would this be fixable by gluing the prong back onto the shutter and putting back into place?

Hey James. I can but I didn't shoot the putting back together in a good enough quality. Which part are you struggling with exactly? Let me go and check if that session is good enough. Or I can upload a reverse of the teardown if it helps. That's what helped me put it back together. Let me know. A guide for the screws. There are four types of screw (if I remember correctly) 1) The silver ones: Used on the outside 2) The short black ones: Used for mounting things to the inside of the casing 3) The med black ones: Used everywhere else 4) The long black one: Used to mount the flash unit
