Thank you!!!! I wanted to use my camera to commemorate a special event. Before leaving, the roll was empty so I took out the old and I put a new roll of film in my Mini. Took the first shot and it JAMMED!!! I thought it was broken forever 😢 Thankfully I saw this video. I tried step 1, and nothing happened. I even went through six sets of batteries to make sure. So I tried step 2, but I don’t have that bag. I decided my bathroom is just as dark at 2am with all the lights off. So I went in the darkest area and pried that thing open. That first plastic layer, the one where it goes from “S” to “10” to open the film, was jammed inside, it was so difficult to take out the pack. But I did it, and it works fine now! Thank you for your help 💐👏🙌🫶

@@hailgonzales hey! i just fixed mine a few days ago and glad you commented bec i wanted to help some too. disclaimer: this method might compromise 1 or more film but i think this is better than nothing, right? and do this on a dark room so your films wont get exposed as much! ^__^ what i did was first, remove the batteries then open the back, remove the film cartridge (since it's stucked in the roller, it will be hard to remove the film cartridge but you have to force it but do remember that you cannot push or poke the film or else it will ruin it) just force it out then after removing it, you will find the protective film, just pull it out and return the film cartridge back as fast as possible. and do some 2 test shots, the first film might result into a blank one then the second one could work just fine. 😊

Hi Sir! I was replacing film yesterday and upon placing the new cartridge, it got suck. It didn't want to enter the place I usually put film in. Upon a little bit of force, it got in, and I got to close the back door of my instax. But now no film would go out. :( Is there any way I can fix this? I'm worried I broke my Instax. Everything else is working fine (i.e. flash, power, etc). Thinking it might have gotten jammed.

What if your film came out part way then got stuck? I pulled that picture out gently. But now the film won’t come out at all!! Hi, my protective black film thing, the first one, is stuck half way because it ran out of batteries half way through. I replaced the batteries and it's still stuck. Most of the time it's just the batteries. Did you use alkalines? Also try cleaning the battery terminals and the battery tips.

Clean the battery contacts and make sure to replace the batteries while the camera is on. That should reset the camera.

It's rare to damage the camera, 95% of the time it's just the batteries. Did you replace the batteries with the camera turned on?

The camera can usually correct itself after a new one is loaded. however if there's something that went wrong with the rollers, the camera may need to be disassembled for repair.

I sadly ruined my film already, however its still jammed. It got jammed as i had loaded new film and took the first picture that usually releases the empty plastic cover. When i open the flap to correct the jam, the whole container is still stuck. any idea what i can do to correct this? Thank you for this video

If the film pack is stuck like that, you probably had a double feed- the protective cover and another sheet of film may have gotten stuck in between the rollers. It might take a bit more force to pull the film pack away from the camera since there are 2 pieces lodged in. You can try removing the pack carefully; once pulled out you'll see which pieces were stuck on the rollers, you will have to pull those sheets out manually too.

So I changed the batteries and that worked. The protective sleeve came out and I was happy to see that even though I had opened the back (I couldn't get the film out) the firm was still fine. Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts. Try a different brand of alkaline batteries to make sure the batteries aren't the problem. If it still won't work, you have to bring it in for repair.

Hi, I replaced batteries in off mode after the film jammed while it was being ejected (towards the end) the film then jammed again, stupidly I then pulled the film by force. I then replaced the batteries while the camera was on and the film ejected all the way, after that it got stuck again. Sometimes the film ejects fully, other times it gets stuck in the same position as before (almost out). Any advice please? When it gets stuck it seems like the rollers have just stopped early. I have cleaned the rollers and the battery contacts. The camera is not showing the low battery flashing lights so I don’t think it is a battery problem. Could the alignment be incorrect due to pulling out film? Any fixes if so or other recommendations? Thank you

The rollers are held in place by thick springs-they can get mis-aligned after being dropped and may be able to get damaged if too much force is used. If the camera is unloaded, I would try to feed the camera used films to try to see if that would reset or re-align the whole system.

Pull out the film pack towards the back while also pulling at a downward angle. It really is difficult to remove, especially when you can't see it in the dark.

Uh oh. A cracking noise isn't a good sign- usually that means one of the gears or clips inside is broken and needs to be replaced.

Hello. When I tried my instax sq6 the protective film came out but the film did not. When I tried your tip, there was no film stuck, but I realized that there was a black tape (on the film pack itself) across the side where the film should come out. I removed it and the intax worked. Question, everytime I load a new film pack should I remove the tape? Every tutorial Ive watched here on youtube, does not include the step of removing the tape. Thank you.

Hi, my instax has this thing where it has 3 blinking lights, do you perhaps know the solution? We've bought so many "Alkaline AA 1.5 V" batteries but none of them seem to fix the problem :(

The blinking lights are an indication that there's a general error on the camera. Usually it's just the batteries or your battery contacts are corroded or dirty. In some cases, this can mean that your camera's shutter or some other electronic part has failed and needs to be replaced. If you've replaced the batteries and cleaned the battery contacts BUT you're still getting blinking lights, it's best to have your camera checked at a repair or service center.

Try changing the batteries while the camera is on. Blinking orange lights is the generic error code of the camera, and resetting it by replacing the batteries while on is the way to reset it.

If still stuck, remove the films in total darkness by removing the loaded film pack and pull out the stuck films GENTLY. Then reset the camera by removing and replacing batteries while camera is turned on.

Hi! So a film got stuck on my instax mini 9 due to low batteries. I made the mistake of pulling it instead of changing the batteries first. It works now that I’ve replaced it with the right batteries but I think I kind of messed up the rollers since some parts of the developed film look like it’s pressed too much since it appears to have some white lines. Can this be fixed with just cleaning the rollers or is it permanent?

The rollers are held in place with springs and plastic clips. As long as those were not broken or misaligned,, there shouldn't be any permanent damage. You can clean the rollers by swabbing them with a Qtip/cotton bud with a little alcohol, but do it very, very carefully because the cotton can get stuck between rollers. Hopefully the lines will go away after a few more shots- some debris does come off by sticking to the film getting ejected, cleaning the rollers in the process.

The batteries will probably need to be replaced. Also check the battery terminals for dirt and corrosion, they may need cleaning.

Alkaline refers to the type of chemistry used in the batteries, so as long as it says "alkaline" on the battery, it should be ok. Just make sure the battery itself is new and in good physical condition-no leaks or corrosion on the battery. I've used many different brands and they all work fine on my Instax cameras.

the light at the front blinks when the flash is charging, if it stays red it might not be getting enough power, check if you're using the right batteries (alkaline) and if the battery terminals are clean

Have you tried replacing the batteries with the lens out? That's the procedure given by Fujifilm to reset the electrical system of the camera.

If the batteries are low, only the batteries need to be replaced. How and where did you store the old film pack? You can use the old film if it was stored in complete darkness after removal. Instax film will get ruined if exposed to light outside the camera.

Your camera probably had a double feed-the protective sheet and a piece of film got stuck in the rollers at the same time. When I encountered this with my camera, I had to remove the film pack in total darkness, The film was stuck pretty good and I had to use a bit of force to pull out the pack.

Hi i have a question... We use instax mini 9 and the new cartridge. The protection layer got stuck 25% so that we can't remove the cartridge or eject after battery replacement. How. Do you remove stuck plastic protector that comes out as first photo.

The best way is to let the camera do it but if it can't and the protector is still stuck, try pulling the protector GENTLY.

My Instax Mini 9 po had the same issue pero it's the very first film the black one na na stuck and I'm using an Energizer battery since drained na OG batteries ko. What's the best battery to use po ba and how to fix my prob po?

Energizer is a good brand. Any of the well known battery brands like Energizer, Panasonic, Fujitsu, Duracell should be ok. That has never happened to me but if I were in your situation, I would try to remove the black cover and put back the film pack (all in the changing bag, of course).

hallo I have install mini 70 my battery was out so I change a new battery the next day I tried to take a picture and it works fine but the paper was out so I change a new one. but when I try to replace it with the new one the paper won't come out even the black cover and in the screen it keeps said I have 0 film and no paper comeout and I can only heard a spring noise I have doing your technics to see if the paper jammed but there is nothing inside the camera and the film still exactly how it was

If you haven't removed the film's black cover yet, try removing the entire film pack and have the camera take a picture while unloaded. Check if it will complete the cycle. Check the metal claw that pulls out the film is undamaged.

Can I use energizer lithium batteries? I use new Alkaline Energizer and after 8 shots my camera jammed

Lithiums should be better but more expensive. You might also want to check your camera's battery contacts, that might be the reason. They will not give the right voltage if they're dirty.

My film was stuck, I removed the film. The lights started blinking. I changed the batteries. None of the setting lights are turned on now but the eye hole light is red now😭😭😭😭😭

The viewfinder light blinks when the camera is first turned on to indicate that the flash is charging. It should turn off once charged and ready to shoot. If it's still on after a few seconds, it's an indication of low power. If you're low on power but the batteries are new, try cleaning the battery contacts. Wipe first with a clean cloth, then swab with a cotton bud with 70% alchohol or denatured alchohol, then wipe dry again. If there's corrosion in the battery compartment, you will need to clean that out too.

Hi i have the same problem. All the lights are blinking after changing the film for instax 8. The protective layer is stuck.when we tried to remove the film cartridge it is hard to get it out. Can you recommend what to do? Thanks..

This usually happens when the camera has a double feed- both the cover and 1 film are stuck in between the rollers. It will feel difficult to remove because of the way it's stuck and will need some force to pull out- you will need to pull the film pack hard towards the back of the camera. This needs to be done carefully since you might damage the camera if done incorrectly. If you're not confident in being able to remove it without damaging the camera, I suggest you bring the camera to a repair or service center.

Hi po, wanted to ask my instax mini liplay wont eject the black film, not sure what happened. Usually when I place the film inside it would automatically eject the black film or cover. 😢

Sorry I don't have experience with the Instax printers. I'd suggest you check the battery is full. If the printer hasn't ejected the black film yet (not even a piece is out), try opening the back IN COMPLETE DARKNESS to re-seat the film pack.

Hi po! I would like to ask some help po kasi my film cover won’t eject po and I think it’s still inside. I already tried replacing the batteries with new alkaline ones (I bought the energizer max AA alkaline, 1,5V). I tried it while opening the lens and already cleaned the battery polars po. I also tried to remove the film in dark light but it was hard to remove po and the lights are still blinking. Also the lights in the viewfinder are not blinking. (The blinking in the lens po is not uniform. Nauuna po yung May house po then followed na sa tatlong settings pero yung tatlong settings po magkasabay po silang mag light) what should I do po to fix my camera? Also what brand of batteries will be best to use po kasi energizer lang available sa aming province. Thank you po

ok I was stupid for using used film + the protective layer, I have the Sq10, I placed the pictureS with the protective layer back on the camera and it keeps making the sound of ejecting the protective layer but it won't eject, but I cannot take the film out to replace EFFIN STUPID ME

Hi!! I have a FUJIFILM Insta Mini 7S and everything appears like it’s working except that the film won’t come out. It isn’t getting stuck and the same amount of film remains in the cart regardless of how many times I take the picture. Please help

That's my question too, the film pack itself is stuck I can't pick it up to take it out to try to get to the gym how would I remove that without breaking the camera or the film pack?

Probably a double jam- two films got stuck together. It can be removed but it will take a lot more force. The two pieces of film are stuck in the rollers so you have to pull the pack from the bottom. If you're not confident that you can do it without breaking the camera, it's best to bring it to a camera repair center.
