Sorry to hear that you are having a tough time. Stay strong and I hope that you get the opportunity to show what you can do after the rest day.

You generally come across in your videos and commentaries as such a cheerful person, it was really sad seeing you looking so miserable on the Stream for round 6 yesterday. Hope you feel better soon and there are plenty of others who have had disastrous games at the Olympiad without the handicap of the virus you're suffering from.

I've always played poorly in huge rooms with lots of people constantly moving behind me. Maybe the same thing happens to you. Thanks for the video and good luck out there!

I think doing group tournament is slightly you can all support each other through the bad games. I never played a event like this. Just focus on feeling better and be ready when you are next called to play. As the extra player I think its also important to support the people playing on your team. Good luck next match.

Hey Anna-Maja , what an experience for such a strong chess player like you are. Thank's for sharing your feelings with us shortly after the game - not easy but you know we love you. I think now it's time to stop hard feelings against yourself and turn all your power against your next opponent in your next game in terms of chess. A song comes to my mind by Lena Meyer-Landrut, Thank you for knocking me down! I think that's it what the difference is between a good and a great player. You will strike back even stronger. I'm sure. Greetings from Germany.

Reviewing great games is easy, but I have the most respect for players when they review failures. Forward! :-)

Chess is a game of memory. If you see some new structures that you are not familiar with or not prepared for, you will have mistakes. People now play new engine moves that you are not familiar with all the time even at my much lower level.

You can do it girl. Have a good meal, take a walk, have a good night sleep. You'll find your form.

Rough day at the office. Just clear your head and do better prep for the next games. Good luck!
@MrSupernova111Ай бұрын
I disagree that this is not you. That's denial. This is not the best you which is different. I still think you should clear your head and come back stronger. Either you chalk this off to a bad event or you try to find the source of the problem and overcome it. If you can't control the chess at least control things like your rest and your diet so you can be your best at the next game. Good luck!

Anna-Maja, your worst chess is still champion's chess. Hope you have a good rest day and feel better.

You'll bounce back Anna. Use the rest day to just let it go! For the coughing issue...hot tea and honey, drink it slow and enjoy. Five more rounds...let's go!

Seems like people get sick at chess tournaments a lot. Maybe take extra precautions? Masks, hand cleansers etc… might sound crazy, but performance at tournaments is so important to you 🤷🏻♂️🙏

It's ok Anna - it happens to everyone. Ask the other famous Anna in chess streaming - she got run over by Germany in round 5 and said about the exact same thing as you.

Hey Anna, I know you're disappointed with the result, but it happens. Enjoy the rest day and keep your head up. Maybe try going to the Bermuda party they have on the rest day, let off some steam and remember that you're making us proud no matter the result ❤

So both Anna's had a terrible game before the Bermuda Party. I'm sure your mindset will get better, once you feel physically better. Just do some nice things (hope you're more satisfied with your hair than last tournament), some relaxing things with some friends.

I was watching the end of the game live and you looked so downcast, like I'd never seen before. But I'm sure you'll bounce back.

By looking at your performance in last tournament, I think that you are nervous since you said that you are playing in Olympiad after 8 years. If so, try to reduce your stress levels before the main game, Try to stay confident even when facing higher rated opponents. If not, I'm sorry. Please don't be sad you can't change the past but you can change the future. I wish you luck.👍
@word20Ай бұрын
You are not alone to have done this, Anna Cramling have done the same when she met one from Germany. We can't cahnge what has happened, the best is to accept it, change what we can change and have peace in iur minds. I know it is easier said than done, maybe you just could explore Budapest and see what the city has to offer and in this way recharge your energy and start the next game fresh.

Who the heck would play g5 in such a tournament. The knight is falling and you don't have a clear path to victory.
@LozHCooperАй бұрын
It looked logical on move 9, the centre is blocked so why not gain space on the part of the board where you are stronger? Whilst I wouldn't personally play it on move 10 it's still possible as you can meet f3 with Qh6 attacking h2 and it looks far too risky to take on e4.
@sean_sean_Ай бұрын
g5 was not reckless, it would have been aggressive. Everyone has an off day, you got yours out of the way it's all positive from here on.
