@@Thedollswitness rewatching some of your vintage Barbie videos right now and laughing at this comment I left. I recently met this lady in my area at a huge flea market/antique convention, and in one corner she had various early 60s Barbies and I did in fact scream when I saw them in person LOL (I was right in my original comment). It was the first time I had ever seen them with my own eyes and gotten to touch them. I ended up getting an undressed Titian ponytail, I'm all but certain it's a #5, and she's in rather unimpressive condition. But I have no problem with that because as my first one, it was relatively affordable, and I'd definitely fear ruining her if she were "too good" (plus sentimentally I'm so happy she's a Titian because I'm also a redhead). But it's been such a slippery slope. That was only 3 weeks ago and I already bought a Midge and several outfits ;____; it's a DRUG man. I'm trying to pace myself. And I couldn't help but come back to some of your content I had watched when you first started your channel. Genuinely thank you for always sharing your doll knowledge (dolledge?) and collection with us. It's very inspiring to those of us who feel the same passion for old toys but don't feel ready yet to take the plunge of collecting. With just the two dolls I have, I love them so much that I haven't felt so fulfilled by a non-essential purchase in so long.

Very impressive collection. Seeing all those vintage dolls I grew up and played with them for over 12 years. I started playing with Barbie starting at age 3 during early 60’s. My mom told me that I am too old playing with Barbie’s when I was 15. Sadly she never saved any of my Barbie’s to remind me of my childhood. So I just got 18 vintage Barbies in my collection…then I am satisfied. I have several Silkstone just like what you have. I love them!! They all are in my curio cabniet. It is so nostalgic!

What an incredibly beautiful collection you have. I grew up playing with Barbie from the mid 70s until the early 80s. I’m trying to slowly recapture my favorite Barbies from that time period that sadly I didn’t hold on to. Obviously the Superstar era is my favorite of choice. I saw Black Barbie on your shelf I loved her!!! Hispanic Barbie was another spectacular one.

My first visit! I also have Donny. Found him in a box lot at a local Auction House. He's missing his microphone arm but otherwise beautiful condition. I need that bent arm!!! As a pre-teen, Donny and David Cassidy were thumb tacked on my walls, pics from Tiger Beat! Yeah, I'm almost 65. I began collecting 2 years ago. Barbie, Tressy, Tammy, Crissy, Ginny, and the Clones. My basement is packed! I found my 1979 dream house at a yard sale for $30 with furniture! And my 1962 Dreamhouse for $27, it needed some work but is still wonderful. I also rehab dolls, dioramas, etc. I know I should have an account dedicated to my obsession. For now , I just struggle to keep organized!

Fabulous! I do have a room for Barbie but it also has my desk and sewing machine and a dresser for fabric and this and that. Even though it is a small room, I have plenty of wall space. My collection is no where near yours nor will it ever be lol. Its an expensive hobby.

I have two rooms in my house dedicated to my collections. One of my doll rooms is everything Barbie up to 1987, as well as other vintage stuff like Tuesday Taylor, Charly, Bionic Woman, Mego celebrities, Glamour Gals, etc. This is the room that has the 1979 Dream House, the 1980 Dream Pool, the 1977 Star Traveler Motorhome, and the 1983 Dream Cottage as the main display. Though most of my collection is actually SuperStar era Barbie dolls in this room, I do have a significant Vintage, Mod, and Malibu era collection as well. All of restored 70s and 80s cars are in this room, as well as my customized '57 Chevy, which I painted yellow with a white interior. I'm big on restoring playsets, actually. The other doll room contains everything Barbie from 1988 onward. All of my Jem stuff from before 1988 is in that room as well, as is my Princess of Power, MOTU, etc. I have a small 90s collection, a small early 2000s collection (mostly Fashion Avenue/Fashion Fever era), 90s Shani/Asha/Nichelle, Generation Girl/Mystery Squad, and some teens and 20s Barbie, just stuff I've liked over the years, like the Haunted Beauty dolls, Goddess of the Galaxy, So In Style etc. I also have all my Integrity dolls and Hot Toys figures in this room. My instagram is Siansonea, and this KZbin account is my doll channel handle, where I have a few videos I made a couple years ago. I have another channel where I do Wheel of Time-themed song parodies called Siansonea Shenanigans, but that's a whole different thing.

All I can say is WOW! And that's all I kept saying - out loud - as you moved around the room! I hope you know that you are envied by so many I'm sure - me being your #1 Fan and you being my idol! Hey, I never really had an idol before! Just an awesome display of a phenomenal collection! I moved a year ago into a bigger place and now have an extra room initially set up as an office but is slowly converting into a "studio" or as some say a "she-shed". I'm currently working on shelving across the main wall and a large (craft) table, a small (half wall height) upcycled china cabinet/display case for more valuable dolls, and another area where I'm building a 2 level diorama/house, furniture, doors, windows, backyard w/ pool, etc for some of my dolls. It's a lot of work but I love it! Can't wait to finally unpack all the boxes and totes that now overfill the huge walk-in closet and set it all up! Well again, awesome job on your collection and display!! Love your channel - keep it up! ❤

I feel so much better now about my Barbies (mostly 90s and later) I started collecting later in life (into my 60s) and now concentrate on boxed dolls, particularly the “designer” outfits (Dior, Givenchy etc) mostly purchased from eBay but I am also interested in hybridising dolls (head/body swaps) so that my favourite faces can sit down (though I’m not too keen on the current made to move bodies). One day I will get my room organised with shelving!
