I adore the ephemera scrapbook by Georgie. what a find. really fabulous. lots of stores sold/free little paper ephemera pieces in Victorian times. kids traded them as well. its hard to find good ones since many times they used homemade paste from flour and water-- which of course is yummy to mice and bugs. these are really wonderful.... i love your book sharing videos. Your A-Boka book would be great inspiration for intarsia or for jacquard patterns. lovely artwork style in those. also the colors- loved the red-orange fox with the grey--- your next knitting project!

I love it when you guys show off your book collections. I want to see every page. As lots of other comments said, Arne’s primer was so fun. I wonder who the artist/illustrator was. I loved the Ru Paul paper dolls. I’m not one to believe that there is a preordained grand plan to life. But, the fact that you two found each other makes me question my conclusions. Ooo, tour of the bookshelf. Cool! Old books are so interesting. The Norwegian folk costume book is a wonderful resource. The roots of my family tree are in various countries: Wolverhampton, England(1690’s)…Utrecht province, Nederland(1670’s)..Karlsruhe and Edelsheim Germany(1848)…Ireland(1830’s)…..I have been able to find pictures of folk costumes via Pinterest. The woman’s folk costume for Utrecht is really unique. My favorite part of it is the ongurmus(hair covering). The wearer’s hair is put in a bun and a hand-crocheted cover is fastened over it. It is made from a pattern that was learned from the wearer’s grandmother (Oma). I have the fabrics needed to make my own costume, and will use the “Mountain Laurel” bedspread/tablecloth crochet motif as the basis to fashion an ongurmus

There's a famous spooky folktale that ends with nasty people turned into owls who call, "Who who who cooks for you-youuuu!" as they fly out a window. I've kept many books from my childhood and love opening them and seeing my parents' inscriptions to me from all those years ago. And then of course there are my Nancy Drews :)

Love your book collection, all of it. It brings back memories. Over the years I've donated books as I haven't always had space. Now I have the space I'm selective, only keeping those I know I'll go back to, e.g. my Taschen art books and knitting books with the focus on history. I wish I had been able to keep everything. Now, I have to search for a similar bird book online.

Loved this as we love books in our family. I also thought why is a strawberry on the “R” page ( of Arne’s little book) and it dawned on me it’s a raspberry. So funny. Great books. I think I'll order to RuPaul's Drag Race paper dolls. I also follow professional cycling, so when I saw the birdsong book, I immediately though of the Danish cyclist Jakob Fuglsang, and now, I know that his last name means birdsong (spelled a little differently), so that's cool that I actually learned something today. Arne's school book is adorable.

One of my most cherished belongings is a copy of “Heidi”. I bought it at an antique book store in 1979. I keep it in an acid free photo box on a closet shelf. Not sure if I will finish in time because I fell and broke my right wrist.
