After doing two silent knitting slow-tv videos, we realised that one of the things that attracted most attention in the comments were the books on our coffee table. Today, we offer you a tour of our most favourite books on Art, Architecture, Fashion and Design, which we always have close at hand and which we keep revisiting again and again and again!

Who are we:
Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison are highly regarded designers, textile artists and authors. They are best known for their craft books and their original, colourful and visually striking designs. Their work is highly influenced by their Scandinavian background and their everyday life in rural Norway. They work under their artist name ARNE & CARLOS, which they established in 2002.

It has been so much fun looking through the books with you. Hanging out at your house looking at books sounds heavenly. Maybe you should give us a tour of the giant bookcase you mentioned. I like it, to watch the stuff of other houses or flats, to get some inspiration. But we like to live with less furniture and not to much colour in one room. A part of our home is royal blue and white. Our livingroom is painted in orange with black and white furniture. Our fireplace room is painted in a warm red with yellow chairs. All space with us is clean, cosy and picked up fast. 😁😊 And we have lots of books, too many books. 😁 I love a book from Anne Geddes, with photos of newborn babies, decorated as flowers, animals and so on. Its too cute and I must smile all the time while watching them.

Happy Valentine’s Day to my Norwegian friends! Carlos, you look wonderful and Arne, your beautiful curls are back. This was a fun and informative video. In December, you shared many lovely illustrated books by Roberto Innocenti. It took some “hunting” but I was able to find them. I now own The House, Rose Blanche, and My Clementine. I also found the big (and expensive $$) book about Gnomes. Amazon wanted $300, but I was able to find it and the other books in thrift shops. They were like new and are now on my coffee table. I really enjoyed this. Four years ago we visited Museum Ludwig in Cologne - sort of by accident, One of my nieces was so inspired by the Op-Ed and Socially inspired art and she incorporated art into her engineering college curriculum. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you for this video.

Always very interesting to know how creators are inspired. And thanks to you who made me discover Charley Harper with the book "Animal Kingdom". I fell so in love with his work, all colourful and beautiful drawings, that I ordered, the day after your video, Todd Oldham's book "Illustrated Life" on Amazon, but wasn't able to get "Animal Kingdom". And ordered the book "Birds and Words" through a local library (I hope I will receive it). I am very excited. Thank you again. Louise from Quebec City, a bit cold (-14°C, but sunny today).
