This seems pretty cool. In the winter, I don't need to be doing high intensity virtual bling races, I need to be doing long slow off season base building without a bunch of folks around and this would seem to fit the bill. Zwift for introverts! Also, previewing my actually next season races with gpx file could be brilliant. Thank you!

I've since ridden the Outlaw course and I didn't find the route super accurate. But if you're racing any of the Rouvy-uploaded courses you should get a better experience.

The video was stuttering, was that just the app or if I use a more capable graphics will the video be smoother.? Thanks for sharing!

Interesting. Like the real enviro. More riders would be more fun though. Good video thanks for info.

You can add as many virtual partners as you want to any route. One can also enter a race or group ride which has many riders to race or just train with. There are a few options for company on your journey! :-)

Not long ago I used Rouvy, in the non-AR mode (before AR was created), to be able to ride with Google Street View (GSV) where each frame sequenced during the ride which is MUCH better than the map view you depicted here. Any idea as to how to do it in GSV?
@ChrisWorfolk3 жыл бұрын
No, sounds great though!

GSV is no longer available in the new app.

Have they improved the ascent percentage sign popping or make it configurable since the DCRainmaker review?
@ChrisWorfolk3 жыл бұрын
I haven't seen it so I'm not sure.
@laurenwolff673 жыл бұрын
The ascent percentage is provided in the close up view on the top left. It's a helpful magnified section of what you are riding.

I see your detail altitude chart looks like mine.....but if you go to other people using it, their detail attitude chart is small on the left, and way better graphics on the bottom of the screen

It might be they were using a different device: computer rather than an Apple TV. But I'm just guessing.

The video speed goes really slow for me no matter how hard I peddle whats wrong?
@ChrisWorfolk2 жыл бұрын
Is it going slowly or is it jumping? Your speed is determined by how much power you're putting down.

@@ChrisWorfolk the video animation is moving slowly, it looks like I'm walking. My bike is synced to the app using Bluetooth, it shows the rpms. Not sure what is wrong

Finally figured it out. I created a new account and set a lower body weight. You probably didn't encounter this because you don't weigh as much. Seems silly I had to do this

At what percentage do you set yr reality level? Bcos i read online from other rouvy users to set it to 60%. What are yr thoughts abt it?
@ChrisWorfolk3 жыл бұрын
I've left mine at 100% but turning it down sounds like a more enjoyable experience.

@@ChrisWorfolk hi, thks for replying....i do agree with u....i think i will just leave it to 100%.
@steveprokopiw96773 жыл бұрын
I have been riding Rouvy for 4 years and have always had it at 100% because it does seem more like the effort it will require to go a similar speed in the real world.( I have a new Kickr and a first gen Hammers for trainers)
@BarryJHoffman3 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisWorfolk can you share where that reality level is and is 100 % the default? Thanks

@@BarryJHoffman I think 100% is the default. I'm not sure where the setting is though as I haven't got the app at the moment.

Please explain step by step how to introduce a gpx/tcx file in Rouvy and how to ride them. Thx

Check out the Rouvy help article on "How to create my own route?"
@laurenwolff672 жыл бұрын
Very simple really, just import a TCX file from a ride you did on your GPS into your training diary and go > create route (in your diary activity on the right). You'll be able to ride it in the app.

I guess they don't think it's that important. I don't notice the sound much on Zwift but it might be a nice addition to Rouvy.

Disappointed. Rouvey has by far one of the best scenery (very likely they use real picture/video or as you put it nicely "augmented reality" whatever that may be). However, while they have quite good scenery, they lack in physics, kinetics, body motion. Take for example training with Rouvey. Why is your avatar disappear for no reason? Why is it that the Rouvey team leans in corners while your avatar sits like a f-ing board? Even more stupid, around 2.6 miles in, one of the dumbasses had the guts to blow his nose and whip his snot on his shorts (not kidding) . Pretty discussing. I know we all do it but give me a break, this is a video that millions possible will watch. Why is it that they call it "training with Rouvey" but the problem is they are all following you. You slow down, they slow down, you speed up they speed up. Shouldn't then be called "Rouvey umbilical cord training".
@laurenwolff68712 жыл бұрын
The physics and body motion of the new 2022 avatar has been improved and now looks almost human. It's quite a revamp! The avatar may disappear when the film catches up on a fast downhill but it's just for a couple of seconds. The motion and sync in general have been improved as Rouvy keeps updating the app to make it better.
