Very nice synthesis! Makes me wonder what other interesting pyridine salts could be made...pyridinium nitrate, perchlorate, or permanganate might be interesting, if they can be isolated!

hello mate, as you know When we mix potassium permanganate with glycerin, it make fire. But every time I do this, nothing happens. do You know what is the problem ? and why nothing happens ?

Solid still containt some HCl, so NaOH or KOH would be better choice for drying.

I am terrible at organic nomenclature, is the thing you plan to make with this something like 5-Chloro-1,0-methoxyhexane? I made PCC a few weeks ago. I have not found a use for it but after seeing it on dougs lab I wanted to make it. It is a nice colour 😊

@@THYZOID a quick reverse image search yesterday showed you got it from a drug chemistry site that I couldn't access. It's probably blocked by my Internet provider as I can't access eroid without a vpn for that reason. It's not n,n dmt. I had some of that stored in my fridge
