He has no common sense. What he has is good orator skills, but don't mistake that for the capability of having thoughts. If any he's just another MSM prick that got his ego high up his arse. Why we are 'celebrating' a confused narcissist is beyond me. If she believes she a man, play in the men's team. As she knows she's not good enough, she declares she's non-binary so stays in the women team. Either she's trans or she's not. If she is, that means she's a man (!) so she MUST be kicked out of the women's team. The fact that these idiots have to use word salad to justify insanity proves how stupid (dangerous) it all is.

Despite what was said in this debate, Quinn has never said anything about wanting to be a man or a trans man. She is still a biological woman, who identifies as non-binary, or neither gender. Crazy maybe, but that doesn't make her a man.

And it teaches you to think, to see boundaries, to say sorry if the person is hurt and understand others can feel otherlike . Ability to joke is seen as a sign of fast and educated mind also so there s credit to it. And now they are so focused on searching for tones of - phobias, racism, intolerance in every possible sounding word and try to make jokes close to illegal cause they are so hurt and judgemental. Piers hit the nail on the head when he mentioned that the more we talk about mental health the more issues we have. How about we teach our kids that life is good and bad at the same time. When it’s good enjoy it, and when it’s bad get through it because tomorrow is another day and it may be good tomorrow or maybe it won’t be, but either way keep pushing forward. The other important thing to teach children is to be kind and treat people the way you want to be treated.

Thank you! I'm 25 and seems as though EVERYONE sees a therapist weekly. I don't disregard mental health at all but somehow people are convinced that if something happened to them or is bothering them then they are broken and need to be fixed ASAP. For example I have a friend who is very scared of seeming "lazy" so she over works. We know and acknowledged that it comes from a time when her mentally ill mom was bed ridden and was dependent on their fanily and abused her position and once she rests she feels as though she resembles her mom. But thanks to her hard work my friend is a med student, so is it really THAT bad of a thing, now that we understand it and can work on it? People who thrived in one field always struggled in another, that's just life. People always had trouble. I blame social media and instant gratification for these as well because otherwise I don't see why anyone would think that they are the only ones who struggle with something, that they need to be perfect in every aspect and of course the lack of patience to any process these days is so apparent.
@neige4221
@neige4221 Жыл бұрын
@@NK-bz9wb I’m glad you found my little piece of advice helpful, as far as the friends you have who all think they need mental help from professionals then I’d advise them to read: “The Myth of Mental Illness” by Thomas Szasz, who is a psychoanalytic psychiatrist. Even though he is part of the profession of psychiatry he decided to expose his own field as a counterfeit back in 1961; it’s an eye opening book.

In May 1919 at Dusseldorf, Germany, the allied forces discovered a copy of these 'Rules.' They were first printed in the United States in the 'Bartlesville (Oklahoma) Examiner-Enterprise' the same year, 1919. Almost 20 years later, in 1946, the attorney general of Florida obtained them from a known member of the Communist Party, who acknowledged that the 'Rules' were then still a part of the Communist program for the United States. 1. Corrupt the young, get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial. Destroy their ruggedness. 2. Get control of all means of publicity. 3. Get people's minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and other trivialities. 4. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance. 5. Destroy the people's faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and obloquy. 6. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible. 7. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit and produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent

These years are so precious and so short. Throw out political correctness and WOKE conditioning and let the children learn how to relate to their peers through natural everyday interaction. Educate them to think rather than tell them what to think! Teach them to adopt a critical mind as they grow, to question societal trends and movements but most importantly spend their childhood having fun with their family and friends without having the self-appointed elite take that away from them.

@@mpetersen6Not in schools when I taught. Any teacher worth their salt picked it up and dealt with the bully and bullying as a whole class issue. However, we also taught them that reacting to words was exactly what made bullies do it and if you laughed at them, they stopped because it wasn't getting the reaction they wanted. Obviously physical bullying was a different matter, but the best way to deal with words is to ignore it. Teaching kids to go into meltdown because some other kid calls them a word, only feeds the bully as that is what they do it for. Everyone is bullied in some way throughout life but their won't always be someone to run to. Knowing how to deal with it is a far better approach and is far more successful in a very quick time! Teaching kids that they are victims is dangerous and leads to an inability to deal with any problem life throws at them and encourages them to be obsessed with their 'mental health'. This obsession is what causes more problems for life not being called a few names from one person at school for a brief time as a child.

We need to STOP bringing awareness to everything. Why do we want happy children thinking about mental health problems? So, they can have a down day and then think they have depression? So, they can feel nervous about sports day and think they have anxiety? So, they decide not to wear a dress to school and think they are transgender? When I was a kid, I didn’t even know what anxiety or depression was? And I grew up happy. I was a very angry kid and definitely emotional, but I had a healthy relationship with emotions because I knew they were temporary. When you teach children about chronic mental illness, you make them believe their issues can last forever. We are unintentionally poisoning the innocent minds of children, with negative thoughts and problems too great for them. Why should we teach children to actively think about and notice racism? So suddenly their peers that they saw as the same as them are now highlighted as different? Do you know how ludicrous it sounds to expect that approach to bring people TOGETHER? We are actively teaching children to see each other as different. STOP BRINGING AWARENESS TO EVERYTHING. World issues are kept alive by us continually speaking them into existence.

I completely agreee. I'm 20 and have been diagnosed with depression since i was 13, due to many reasons - though I have always been tought to ignore people's comments and ignorance because if you don't let the words hurt you, then the bully/attackers have no weapon to use against you. I use that day-in-day-out because like Piers said 'the world is mean' and it's due to this mentality that I won't actively try to kill myself despite the fact I don't want to be here most days. Children and young people are tought the truth of the adult world way too early now, I mean when I was 8, I was playing out with my friends screaming insults at eachother and having fun - because that's what kids do, they're blunt, mean and have no filter with what comes out of their mouths, but that's what makes the children grow, they learn not to talk like that because it's rude and disrespectful and it makes these children grow into polite and respectable people when they reach adulthood and are forced to face the brutality that is the real-adult world. What this Woke culture is promoting in young people is disobedience and rudeness as well as a lack of respect. I mean there is only a couple of years between me and my younger brother, but he's got absolutely no respect for anyone, he hates when people argue back with him, if he loses he throws a complete tantrum and baring in mind he's nearly reaching adulthood himself, he can dish out insults and bad language, but the minute someone is mean/hurtful to him, he pulls out the victim card, and tries to make himself out like he did nothing wrong. We are going down a road in which the world will be sensitive due to the amount of awareness we are forcing upon these children. And the only thing this teaches is if people think they are/have something then it must be true. But the issue lies with people self-diagnosing themselves with mental health problems, then it will get to the point where your body is going to react to what you are telling yourself by giving you the signs of anxiety, depression, etc just because you are trying to trick yourself and your body into thinking you have these mental health condition. All we are doing with this mentality is aiding the suicide rate in children and young people by shoving adult-problems onto people far too sensitive to handle them.

That's building resilience in kids. I was bullied all through school, even to the degree of what would now be labelled criminal physical assault. While I wouldn't wish my childhood on anyone, the point does still stand that you get through it and are more resilient because of it. Many, many people overcome childhood adversity and grow into very strong and capable adults. But we're not seeing that now - our kids should feel safe and loved and supported, because we emphasize giving children all of those things, but they also need some struggle in order to build resilience. They need to be able to make some of their own decisions and take on the risk of failure from those decisions. Failure is what makes kids grow. I did exceedingly well in school, but socially was where I failed, and it taught me more useful lessons than I got from always succeeding in academics. I wouldn't have learned those lessons if my parents had taken the place of friends instead or if they'd organized playdates for me. I had to figure it out myself and that was the best thing for me. Kids can't learn and grow if parents are always stopping them from ever failing at anything.

The 5 people next to you might not care, are not fazed by the comment, or they find it funny and all because of how THEY CHOOSE to take it. Free speech should not be silenced just because the minority (and it is the minority) got hurt feelings that they can actually recover from if they are willing to MAKE THE CHOICE to put in the effort to learn how to move past it and not let one comment from someone control them. Lies should be shut down instead. This woman claiming that Piers not liking what Meghan said shows clearly how words can hurt is barking up the wrong tree. Oh dear God. I grew up watching Tom and Jerry torturing eachother. I read the Enid Blyton book about Golliwogs. I watched the Carry On Films and read Roald Dahl books. I was allowed to play with army men/transformers/remote controlled cars without people wanting to ram puberty blockers down my throat. I got bullied at school for been short, and pale. I was called Casper, but it made me stronger. We are creating weak children who will come out of school and look around like a deer caught in the headlights. Celebrities have said "When they got dropped by their labels, they had no idea how to look after themselves." Kids need to be taught to be Strong, Independent, Mature, Calm

It’s immature logic to believe that we can ever “train” kids to be mature and never be mean or pick on other kids; society can’t be made into an utopia. Does this mean that we shouldn’t teach of kids manners; respect and to be good citizens? Obviously not, but even adults aren’t perfect. It’s clear that we are in a second generation of being too soft on kids and now we have a generation of adults and kids together who are simply too fragile

Well, believe it or not, I have a daughter that would make you eat your own words. We can teach children not to be mean. It’s the parents that are responsible for this. If the kids are rude and disrespectful, it’s the parents fault for being absolutely useless and not putting enough time and effort into them

@@johnwhite9669 I’m a single dad with full custody of my daughter and she is the same; but, even as caring and compassionate as she is (now 17), there have been times that she wasn’t a perfect kid or friend, often when in a group with other girls who aren’t as kind as her. But, with that said, there will never be a time when kids aren’t kids no matter how much fixable their parents provide; kids are kids; it’s the definition of immature.

Wow so you were a bully. Cool. Tell some 8 year old who's picked on and bullied every single day of their life that all you have to do is get over it. Do you like seeing little children cry and get called names? Probably not, so stop defending the idea that kids nowdays are just soft and need to suck it up. They're basically babies still trying to form a self image and personality and they take cues from how the world views them and if their tiny world they live in is mostly negative then they will be deeply damaged and hurt. Just think about this topic a little longer and don't just think about how you dealt with it because maybe you had a better home life and maybe you weren't called names for years and years and no one wanted to be friends with you. That's the reality for real kids who get bullied I doubt you were perpetually bullied.

And ironically, People who get bullied at school usually turn out to be the most successful ones in life when they reach adulthood [given that proper guidance and encouragement are given by the supporting people around them]. Piers is right when he said that we shouldn't be making their environment for the kids a barbie paradise-like, instead, we should let them experience normal childhood.

I call myself fat as a woman, I accept it. I am not going into depression over it. I just be careful of my health as I do not want to die of heart attack. Kids should learn yes we can be fat, if someone calla us fatty its life and does not determine my value as human being. Just take it upon the chin and do something about it specially if its coming from different people. We should accept the truth, even if its bitter. We can accept people have higher IQ then us, why can we not accept that people are better shape or looks then us.

I always struggle listening to Paula, aka the woke lightening rod of this show. You can not and will not ever eliminate bullying. My 10yr old tells me about it going on in her (small and very community minded) school so it’s clearly happening despite all the so called anti bullying campaigns and efforts. Furthermore, I was bullied throughout school for being a “wog” (as Italians and Greeks were called in Australia in the past) and guess what? It taught me resilience and how to stand up and fight for myself. Traits that are disappearing from society. As for “participation awards”- they are moronic! We have an awards album at home for my kid and I purposefully show her those participation ones go in the bin, not the book. Want non moronic kids? Teach them to spell, read, count and THINK FOR THEMSELVES! Incidentally… Aussies have never called people their actual names. Nicknames were a sign of friendship!

"The road to hell was paved with good intentions." Sometimes what's "nice" is not what's best. Sometimes it's in your best interest to be laughed at, made fun of - that's not bullying. If you're paying attention it can help you to become a better version of yourself. It's important to know when you've done something right, but also when you've got it wrong. We are absolutely raising a generation of physically and emotionally weak people who cannot cope with the reality of life. When every minor issue is a "trauma" you're gonna have a helluva time!
